I came with two friends. My boyfriend and I been here before and wanted to share this place with a friend. We came an hour before close. We just wanted to have a drink and share light meals. It was busy, and we had to wait. Which is fine. We can wait. It was busy. There was a free table where the three of us could sit, but were told no and to wait because it was dirty. What was odd, was the fact that a table of 4 was freed up and we thought we were going to be seated, but no. The people that came in AFTER us got seated first. It took about 5-10 minutes to be seated where we were told no to first. The table had maybe like one grain of rice so it wasn’t really dirty. We sat down and were told we’d get water first before ordering (we never got our waters and our order was taken). We ordered and very slowly our orders came out little by little. We ordered two mango cocktails (delicious, highly recommend), pad see ew(also very delicious), dumplings(friend said was good), and banana roti (ended up not enjoying even tho I did finish it with help). We were getting our check before I got my banana roti. I didn’t want it at that point (everyone else was done with their meals) but was told it would be on the house as an apology for forgetting it(spoiler alert: it was not on the house. I still did pay for it). I didn’t want to point out that the item was still billed, it was already past closing time and I felt bad. I’m pretty sure everyone just wanted to go home. I noticed that the table that was seated before us got their waters right away and their waters kept being refilled. Sure we were told if everything was okay, but it would be from across the table...and the other table never asked for refills.. they just refilled theirs. Never ours. I’m not sure if we didn’t give the best first impression, but I recommend skipping dine in and just get for pick up. The food is amazing. I recommend the food, but I don’t think we will be dining in anymore. And we did not want to speak to manager and further escalate anything. It was already closing time. We just paid for our food, gave our thank you’s, and...
Read more🔥 5-Alarm Flavor at Thai Fire 🔥 Y’all knocked it outta the firehouse with this one!
I swung by Thai Fire today and let me tell you, this place is hotter than a 3-alarm blaze — in all the right ways! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was back at the fire station kitchen, where everything’s cooked with heart, heat, and a little firehouse love.
Let’s talk chow. That Spring Roll came out crispier than bunker gear fresh outta the dryer — fried to perfection, with a dipping sauce that was a perfect match. Like a good fire crew, they worked in harmony.
Now the Chicken Fried Rice? Lawd have mercy. It was cooked just right — not too dry, not too soggy — just textbook perfect. That lime wedge they threw in? That was like pulling the right line at the right time. Elevated the whole thing!
The Mongolian Beef was the Fire Chief of this meal. Tender, juicy, seasoned like a Sunday backyard BBQ. The veggies still had that crunch — no overcooked mush here. And those sweet onions? Whew! Sweeter than a rookie on his first day.
I went with the large bottle of Chang, and boy did it pair well. Cooled me off just right, like sitting by the fan after a hot shift.
The decor was spot-on too — felt like walking into a firehouse in Bangkok. That fiery theme wasn’t just for show. It brought the whole vibe together like a good shift crew.
What really put the cherry on top? The owners came out, shot the breeze with me, and made me feel like family. You just can’t fake that kind of hospitality.
I’ll be ringing the bell for a return trip soon. Thai Fire — y’all officially have a spot in this retired firefighter’s heart (and...
Read moreVentura's culinary scene just got a serious flavor boost, and it's coming from the cozy confines of Thai Fire. Despite its intimate size, the restaurant delivers an explosive experience, living up to its name. My friends and I visited last Friday, and even though the place was buzzing, we snagged a table – a testament to its popularity.
Looking at their website, it's clear they focus on 'authentic Thai cuisine with a modern twist,' and that's exactly what we got. We started with the Thai Beef Jerky, Tom Kha soup, and Lettuce Wraps, all of which were bursting with fresh flavors. For our mains, we chose the classic Pad Thai and, for me, the Yellow Curry – a personal favorite. Their website highlights 'house-made curry paste,' and it truly shone through in my dish, offering a rich and complex flavor profile. The Pad Thai was equally impressive.
As noted on their site, they aim to offer 'generous portions,' and they weren't kidding! The entrees were substantial, almost making our appetizers feel unnecessary but let us have round two the next day. The quality of ingredients and the meticulous preparation were evident in every bite. Thai Fire is definitely elevating the Thai dining experience in Ventura, offering a delightful blend of traditional flavors and contemporary flair. I'm already planning my next visit to explore more...
