Keynote Lounge — Restaurant in Ventura

Well I was minding my own business one of the drunk bartenders came outside (older lady font know her name )started calling me names and telling me to get the ..... out of there gir mo reason. Mind you I'm kinda a regular there on the weekend. I'm the guy who shows up at 12 have a beer dance one song mind my own buissness and go home literally As I was foing that she comes out cursed me then her husband Tom gtom Tom's towning owner of the company for no reason shoves me off the chair I'm sitting in got no reason as I'm asking them to please just not talk to me and leave me alone .I fly off my chair get up sndvwsnted to hurt the man but I knew and saw the direction it was going in do I restrained myself ..as the police officers show up they ask him what happened and the man a liar proceeds to claim her never touched anybody .witnesses told police other wise .biggest liar ever because the week befor he touched a woman unaoripisttly and the woman told the bartender his drunk wife and he denied touching her as well liar liar liar .cops wouldn't do anything so I had him arrested for assault. Biggest coward I know Tom's towing t.mind you this happened at the keynote .the owner comes our Linda I believe and tell me I'm not wanted there anymore .still wondering why I did nothing wrong got assaulted on her ground with cameras rolling and mow I'm not wanted .makes me think it had to do with skin color or maybe cause Tom downs a arm and a leg there and gets to act how ever he wants and that's her style..the hell with all them and that place fyi if your not white font go and never go alone not safe even if you think you are and feel that way your not believe me and the bounce is a joke he also began to get in my face after he helps the Tim guy ho back in and call me names ..wow...

Let's be VERY clear here. There are two separate Venues that are possibly reviewable. The Lounge its self as a Strip mall Dive bar The Thursday night musical event billed as an open Mic. I am reviewing and rating solely based on the the Open Mic Night held on Thursdays. I will keep it simple. Although this is listed as an open Mic, you never hear it called anything other than 'jam night` by the MC. The lowdown. If.. You play the Blues, the Blues and nothing but the Blues You play the same three songs every time you go out You are enamoured with note for note (artless) covers You don't care how much time you waste trying to even decide what you are going to play You don't care who gets thrown onto the stage with you....whether you want them or not You have no respect for the rules of the list You will happily cheat fellow musicians out of their slot You have no respect for others peoples time onstage You are a personal cronie of the MC... Then you must flock to the Keynote Lounge. Hurry. The...

This place wasn't bad. Pretty run-of-the-mill blue collar bar.

When I visited, it was karaoke night. It took quite a while to get a drink as the bar maid was in the back. She was nice enough I guess though.

The prices are a little high for what you get. $6 for a coors, while it is kind of the standard, does seem a little high for what you are getting. I would understand if this place was in a hub or something. But it isn't and the the vibe of this place does not make the $6 really worth the whole experience of visiting.

One thing that this place has going for it is that it's one of the only bars I'm the neighborhood. So if you are chilling in this area and don't want to venture off too far, then this place may be a good option.

The place does have a large capacity as well.
