My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Zaytouna Bites, and what an incredible experience it was. Albert, the owner and chef from Syria, is a true gentleman, welcoming, passionate, and dedicated to authentic Mediterranean flavors.
The food was exceptional, easily the best falafel in the region! Perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, exactly as they should be. The shish tawouk sandwich was fantastic, especially with the garlic sauce and fries tucked inside, a traditional street-food touch you rarely find around here.
Albert even treated us to samples of zaâatar and lahmeh sfeeha bites, both absolutely delicious. And the hummus and baba ghanouj tasted just like homemade, rich, balanced, and full of heart.
I only wish we lived closer, because weâd be regulars! If youâre anywhere between San Francisco and LA, itâs definitely worth a detour to stop by this authentic...
Read moreA hidden gem with the best falafel in Ventura! Everything we've had at Zaytoun Bites is delicious and fresh and served with a friendly smile. The pita is thin and works well as a wrapper for the falafel, vegies, olives, labneh, and tahine or other items. The eggplant makdous is tasty and interesting. The chicken shwarma is a hit (you can order it as a "pizza" too). There are many options for vegetarians! We've enjoyed everything we've had in our two visits so far and will take friends when we go back. We recommend the Zaytouna breakfast for two, a feast served with yummy, uniquely blended hot tea. You won't be disappointed. The restaurant is tucked into a corner by the laundromat and you can eat there or take to go. We've done both and the food is...
