Taco Mama - Vestavia — Restaurant in Vestavia Hills

Made a to go order inside and had to use their restroom while I waited. Their bathroom is in the back and close to their kitchen. When I got near the bathroom I encountered a smell that I can only describe as spoiled grease. Made me nauseous to where I started dry heaving as I got in the restroom. Never have I ever experienced a smell like it. Secondly, I ordered the build your own taco with the flounder and when I got to my work and opened it up was very disappointed in the amount of flounder in my taco! Was 2 little slivers of fish. The rice and corn was abysmally small amounts aswell. They could’ve over compensated on one of them and I would’ve been fine. Best part of the meal was the queso and chips. I’m a connoisseur of all things tacos. Steak, fish, chicken, shrimp, bbq I just love tacos. $18 for what I received was a joke, but never again! So me and my daughters ate there today after church. As we got our food, we noticed that all the employees were on their phones while handling the food and also the girl standing at the food counter bagging and handing out food, was grabbing her short shorts and her phone and did not wash her hands and continued to touch the food. I’m pretty sure this is a violation of Health codes. And then we all leave after telling the manager which he did get up and go say something to his employees but we now all have upset stomachs and have not been able to sit down normal because our stomachs are hurting so bad. Went to taco momma today. When my order came out it was hot and looked amazing. I bit into the burrito and there was a long hair in it :( asked for a new one and was totally fine with that. Waited about 18 minutes and came back in. Lady at the counter asked if anyone had made my burrito yet and I said no. She said I’m so sorry and they will bring it out to me. It came out not even a minute later which I was like wow that’s awesome! Took a bite into it and it was almost like drinking ice water.
