China King — Restaurant in Vicksburg

Was a regular customer. Almost always order the same food. The chinese woman took my order, always saying before I could finish anything else, anything else. Today she did not get the order right. An egg roll was left off the order. Called her to tell her of the error after returning home. She quickly went into attack mode for $1.34. She never apologized or anything. She said you WILL pay for the egg roll when you come back. We paid for the egg roll after a few choice words and she was told she lost our business over $1.34. That $1.34 and the drive back cost you revenue of over $30.00 a week, was it worth it? I think not. They need someone in this business that speaks fluent English and is not pushy and rude to answer the phone always. Please spend your money elsewhere. I will be telling everyone I know. I usually only go to China King when Asian Kitchen is closed or I'm unable to get to Sun Izakaya. Unfortunately, every time I do, I end up regretting it.

The food quality is consistently poor—especially the texture and taste. The fried rice is underwhelming, and even something as standard as General Tso’s chicken misses the mark. On top of that, getting the correct order seems like a coin toss. Sometimes it's right, but more often than not, something’s wrong.

This most recent visit just confirmed what I already knew: I won’t be coming back. If you’re looking for Chinese food in Vicksburg, I strongly recommend going anywhere else. Honestly, I think even El Sombrero could do a better job.

WARNING!!!! This place is in fact, not a four star restaurant. The service was very good. The girl working the ordering window was very nice and helpful. The problem is the food. I got the General TSO chicken with rice. Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The chicken was chewy, the rice was undercooked, and both just had a very unpleasant flavor over all.
