I recently visited the buffet for my mothers birthday on Friday October 5, in high hopes of devouring delicious crab legs, shrimp, and my favorite frog legs & boiled shrimp. To my dismay, I was informed in after being seated that the crab legs were an additional $12.95 per pound. Since I paid with partial players card, and partial credit card, I didnât know my party of 6 would have to pay an additional amount for crabs because I assumed the seafood buffet included ALL seafood..... of course I was very wrong. The âseafoodâ buffet did not have many seafood options as I expected. I was also informed that the oysters were an additional charge as well. So whatâs the purpose of a seafood buffet if the seafood options were limited and crabs and oysters were an additional fee. What happened to the many options you used to offer on the Friday buffet. I was and still is extremely disappointed that the buffet has changed for the worse. My sisters and I had to really fake as if we enjoyed the food so we wouldnât spoiled my moms birthday. Why werenât there at least boiled shrimp and frog legs? Why is there an additional charge for crab legs and oysters? Why was we charged for a seafood buffet when seafood was limited? I even bought it to our servers attention that myself along with a few of our party guests were highly disappointed and she shrugged her shoulders with little care. Since when did a seafood buffet not have boiled shrimp at least I would have been somewhat satisfied. Then when I asked one of the cooks about boiled shrimp, I was informed that if they werenât on the line, they werenât putting any out. BUT, if you all have them in the back, and the buffets are being sold as SEAFOOD, why not boil the shrimp and put them on the line........ It wasnât like they seasoned any of the food with love because 85% of the buffet was bland the only 15% that was absolutely PERFECT was the Dessert bar. We were better off going to Berryâs. Sorry Heritage but chances for my family and myself returning back...
Read moreThis has gone downhill massively the last 2-3 years. Iâll likely never go back after today. ~$72 for two after a modest tip at the lunch buffet. I was there right after they opened, at 12:06. Yet, somehow, almost all the food was hardly above room temperature. The fried shrimp was just about cold, and the catfish had to have been sitting out for a while (despite having just opened). Something about lukewarm catfish isnât the most desirable thing in the world. There wasnât a great variety of food. The âbigâ item was the steak, which was covered in mushrooms. The steak was so bad and overly well done that I literally spat it out. Iâm not too picky if itâs a buffet steak, but man, this was truly awful. For $72, especially a lunch, Iâd expect for there to be something special or at least the basic stuff done really well. This was just a below average Southern buffet that shouldâve been at most half the price. Many of the utensils to get food off the buffet were gross (covered in gravy or grease). Not exactly appetizing. The dessert looked good, but it ultimately was subpar. It tasted like it sat out for a few days and was literally so hard you couldnât cut it with your fork. Pecan pie was okay, though. Such a shame, as it has so much potential. It used to be reasonably priced with good food. Not anymore. I guess thatâs why there werenât a lot of people at it the whole time I was there, which was prime lunch time...
Read moreSave yourself the trouble. The daily buffet is as good as it gets. We just went for the crawfish and crab legs Saturday night buffet and it was sad. The crab legs were OK. Just good enough not to complain too much. We came for crawfish. No tricks no gimmicks just sit down and enjoy crawfish......well no such luck. It's just a gimmick to get you to come eat and pay more. The crawfish were inedible. I tried and tried but you just can't eat them. They were so overcooked they tore to bits. Not one single crawfish came out of the shell ccorrectly. They also added seasoning to the outside shells of the crawfish that after about two crawfish your lips were burning. I washed mine off before trying to peel them. And no crab crackers for the crab legs either. We had to maw at them with our teeth and forks. It was the hardest ive ever worked to try and eat something. Also did i mention it cost us over 74$ . That was two buffets and one pound of crablegs. We will never go back unless they lean how to cook and serve crawfish that is not over cooked and quit putting seseason salt on the outside of the shells. It just makes them dirty . If i wanted to lick season salt i could have stayed at home and just got mine out the pantry and go at it. There was nothing there you could not get at any $10 dinner...
