Waffle House — Restaurant in Vicksburg

We walked to this Waffle House while casino hopping in Vicksburg. Please note, there are no sidewalks on Warenton Road, so walking is hazardous. The food at Waffle House was just ok. We had a breakfast sandwich, a burger and biscuits with gravy. Nothing was great, but also nothing was awful. The servers, we had a 2, were friendly and efficient. The cook was indifferent and seemed as if we were an inconvenience. They only offered the breakfast menu and some burgers. Not sure if that was their regular fare or if it was COVID related. We were here at about 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon and we were the only patrons. There was a note on the door saying they were short handed and were unable to accommodate full occupancy. The bathrooms were filthy and there was a ceiling leak in the bathroom hallway. It was just left to leak on the floor without wet floor signs or something to catch the water. I wish that I could give negative stars. When I saw this lady behind the counter with house slippers on with no socks I should have left. My wife ordered pork chops they were visibly overcooked, she tried to eat them but it was also overpowered with pepper .Our server came to give our check and my wife told her that the chops were overcooked and had to much pepper on them.She told my wife I will let him know. Not can I get them remade or offer you some else. So she went told the cook he didn't have a care in the world. Worst Waffle House I have ever been to!! TERRIBLE service. Any time we spoke to the server she wouldnt listen and turned away before we completed speaking, ending up in us not reciving all we had ordered and her arguing with a 7 year old who was upset she didnt get what was supposed to come with her kids meal!! We felt 100% descriminated against due to the waitress showing us less than minimum attention but showing other customers wonderful service. The Waitress also refused to help whe she handed another member of our party a partially oppened container of steak sauce that went everywhere when attempting to shake it up before using it, she just at a table while we cleaned the tables and floors and never offering the simplest of help (like a rag).
