McDonald's — Restaurant in Vicksburg

I was there on July 3, evening. I ordered using the app for COUNTER pick-up. Arrived at the store to see 6-8 cars in each lane of the drive-thru, but since I was doing counter I parked my car and walked up--only to find the door LOCKED.

The app wouldn't let me switch it, so I got in line... 20+ minutes later I get to the window and give them my COUNTER code. They found it and brought my food and I drove back to my hotel, about 2 miles away.

I opened the package to find the burger and fries cold--like room temperature.

My order was small, $7.38.

I submitted a complaint via the app, and got a response a few days later offering me a gift card if I'd surrender my home address (why it couldn't just credit my payment on file back I don't know).

The gift card arrived about 3 days ago. I just checked online... the gift card sent was for $5.00, less than the defunct order I got.

Rest assured that if I am ever back in Vickburg, this McD will not be visited, and I will see if I can find what other restaurants this franchise owner owns, and avoid them as well.

Drive thru line was really long and we had to wait for few minutes. When we reached the cashier, he asked us to move forward and wait for them to bring our food to the car. Waited over twenty minutes, no food. I went inside to ask about my order. They all stared at me like I was doing something wrong. Then they started arguing amongst themselves. One lady said, I never got that order. No one even said, I am sorry. The manager went and started making the sandwich. I had to wait till they made my order. I was really upset because it looked like no one cared they made a mistake. They were really grouchy. McDonalds on Clay street in Vicksburg is by far the best McDonalds that I have been to. The customer service was excellent. My family and I were greeted with smiles when we entered the door. Alonzo was extremely friendly and attentive when taking our order. Since we were dining in, our food was brought to us. Alonzo once again greeted us with a smile and was very friendly when bringing our food. He continued to check on not only us, but the others customers in between taking orders and bringing food to the vehicles outside.
