Bush's Chicken — Restaurant in Victoria

"I STOPPED THERE TODAY AFTER HAVING A ROUGH NIGHT AND VISITING FAMILY THAT I HAVE ILL AND BEEN WORRIED ABOUT ALL WEEK,BUT I COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER AND COURTEOUS PLACE TO STOP AND HAVE SUPPER AFTER MYSELF WAS ILL ALL NIGHT,I FOUND THE EMPLOYEES TO BE SO COURTEOUS AND SOO FRIENDLY THERE WAS NOONE THERE WITHOUT A SMILE ON THEIR FACE AND THATS A PLUS FOR ME,COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY,THEY DIDN'T RUSH US TO ORDER LIKE MOST PLACES,THE FOOD WAS JUST AWESOME OMG I COULD HAVE HAD TWO ROLLS,THEY WERE SO SOFT AND THE JALPENOS WHEEE THEY WERE HOT BUT VERY VERY TASTY NOT SOFT LIKE MOST PLACES,THEY CHECKED ON THE TABKES TO MAKE SURE U WERE OK,THATS A PLUS FOR ME,IT WAS AN ENJOYABLE SUPPPER AND A VERY VERY CLEAN PLACE THATS ANOTHER PLUS FOR ME,I HAVE WORKED IN MANAGEMENT FIR OVER 15 YEARS,AND I TELL YOU WHAT THESE EMPLOYESS WERE ALL JUST AWESOME,AND I WILL RETURN WITH MY FAMILY,AND I WOULD RATE THEM A TEN PLUS AN A++++++,IWE ENJOYED IT AND THE GREAT SERVICE THEY GAVE US LAST BUT NOT LEAST VERY NICE OF THEM TO GIVE FREE ICECREAM FOR THE CHILDREN AND THE ELDERLY I LOVED IT I WILL BE BRINGING MY WHOLE FAMILY FOR A FAMILY NIGHT OUT,GOOD LUCK AND WISH YOU FOLKS ALL THE SUCCES AND FRIENDLY EMPLOYEES,AS I SAID I WILL RETURN,GOD BLESS TO...

If your hankering for some fried gizzards this is the place. It's my goto for gizzards. The gizzards are very nice sized. I prefer them soft but Bush's only cooks them one way. Still good though. I like them with freedom fries, white gravy, and a roll. Since after the pandemic I started eating my gizzards differently. I love to put some ranch in a small condiment cup then pour in some buffalo wing sauce. For those who love ranch & wing sauce..."together". DELICIOUS! But that's my taste buds. We usually love Bush's but not today. We live an hour away from Victoria and when we go into Victoria we love to stop for fried chicken at Bush's. Yesterday we ordered quite a bit of chicken and tenders in fact, we had 2 orders, for two families. The chicken was so dry, no flavor, and the crust was so tough it could have broke a tooth. The mac and cheese was so watery it leaked inside the bag. It was more like soup. The mashed potatoes and gravy had absolutely no flavor. Our rolls were under the chicken and were greasy and mashed flat. We were very disappointed. I hope things impove, as Bush's is one of our favorite places in Victoria.
