Cashier turned one of my favorite stores to go find great deals a terrible humiliating and awkward moments of just confusion. Stood in front of the register with all my items in front of the register where she was standing right next to. Had no idea what she was waiting for so after what felt like two minutes I asked her can you do your job. I bought two big storage containers and gloves and neck gaiter. After she checked me out there she stood there. That's it she just scanned my items and stared at me and stood there so I asked for a bag. She tried to put it all in one bag. Asked her can I have my small items in another bag. She kept calling me ma'am after every request I shouldn't have to ask for service and tell someone how to do their job. As an Alaskan Native America I have had experienced racism a few times before. But to experience another white American ignoring my presents and not treating me as she would others is just disgusting and unprofessional that 2 months from 2026 this is happening. After the way she treated me and made me feel humiliated and built anxiety from waiting for service but no actions so you finally build courage to ask her to do your job so I can get out of here. She turned it around and played victim of a rude customer like I was the problem. Told not to come back again or the cops will be called via my neighbor who went in the store after me. Yes there was a dog in the store which was a lot of distracting. But dog or no dog, I still wonder how can someone be at work in their position waiting for shoppers at the register. I walk up to the counter and there is no action until the shopper gives every demand on how you should do your job. Favotire store is now a terrible memory of being ignored and humiliated. Thank you Harbor Frieght for inviting me back and giving me a personal phone number to call if I have other issues. But I don't want to relive that moment ever again and will settle to...
Read moreThis Harbor Freight location is Awesome! I live in Houston and needed their 13K Tri-Fuel generator which as you know during our peak hurricane season is practically a unicorn to find. I called around and no luck, called this location and the ladies attending the phone were soooo helpful and went out of their way to check the back and told me they had only 1 available and it's first come first serve. I asked if they could measure the box so that it can fit my car, and they quickly went back again and gave me dimensions. So I hurried and started driving, midway I called them again just to be sure they still had it in stock and surely it was there. Got there and asked the lady at the counter and she immediately knew who I was and made me feel very comfortable, I didn't get treated as an out of towner at all, another lady kindly asked me if I needed the natural gas hose and oil and I said I sure do, they grabbed everything for me, I quickly checked me out and they loaded it into my car smoothly by a wonderful older gentleman, we had a nice chat about generators shortages these days. The whole experience was just awesome. I highly recommend this location for everyone who lives in this town. And thank you to everyone...
Read moreJust got kicked out because my dog howled in the store by the same man who has helped us for years and we always had our dog with us. When we walked in the cashier said we had a big dog (Australian Shepherd-not that big). He stated that service dogs don't make noise. We did not present , nor have we ever presented him as a service dog. There are no signs on the door that say anything about no dogs. I have seen others in the store with their dogs before and just realized that they were hispanic. Is it because I am not hispanic? Not sure why I was treated this way and plan on looking into this further. Never going to this...
