This is a unique place to eat home-style cooking at its finest. It's buffet style so you pay and get your plate, then go to get your food. Selection is small, but who cares, it is all oh so good!!! Once you have the food, then you sit at long tables with other people and someone comes around to bring drinks and dessert. That man was non stop!! And friendly as ca be. The uncle of the owner also came around to greet people and make sure everything was good. It was more than just good, it was delicious 😋. I will definitely be back. This is definitely NOT a buffet. Buffet prices for non buffet eating. $20 with ice tea. Service is on plastic plates. Steam table and server fills your plate with your choices. Selection is for one price for one meat and a higher price for two meats. One original trip only. Free iced tea refills. The food is definitely delicious. I had fried chicken, okra, mashed potatoes (no gravy), meatloaf (very moist), and cornbread. The waiter was very courteous and very attentive. Payment was accepted by credit card. The atmosphere is a little lacking. The entrance is from the road side, not the kitchen by parking where we accidentally entered. Poor signage even viewing...

We used to visit the restaurant frequently before the shut down last year. After getting our vaccinations last month, we decided to stop in for lunch today. This was our first "dine in" lunch visit in Victoria in over a year. Happy to say they still have the friendliest staff, and the tasty food selections we remembered. Even though it isn't self serve right now, you still won't go hungry! Fried chicken is crispy and juicy, cabbage, green beans and cheesy potatoes are tasty and meatballs probably changed my weight class from lightweight to heavy!
