Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Vienna Township

Probably the worst customer service experience I've had in a very long time. I grew up locally and wanted to revisit a childhood memory. So where to go but the neighborhood DQ. The sign says open till 9. The open sign is lit in the front window. It's 8:42. I walk up to the window, and stand there. Two employees inside plus the owner. The owner walks up to the window with broom in hand, looks at me, turns off the open sign then walks around the corner continuing to sweep. Now I wouldn't have had an issue with a "sorry we closed early for the night" but no acknowledgement whatsoever? And then clicked the "Open" sign off in my face as if I did something wrong? What happened to small business owners caring for their customers, and hometown hospitality? I grew up going to this Dairy Queen and have so many great memories standing at that window after a baseball game or walking over with my grandfather all to be spoiled by tonight. Mr. Tricker would be ashamed of the way this place...

Better service in sharpsville then hermitage across from Walmart... I asked the lady where my toppings were.... Could she put some on it.... She says oh they just fell down the side.... I said where??? She's says it will be fine!!!! Well it wasn't and they lost our business! If I wanted plain vanilla ice cream that's what I'd asked for!!! I ordered the triple fudge brownie.... With only hot fudge and I'd pay extra for strawberries.... A lil fudge was drizzled on top of brownie n there was half a strawberry on side of my ice cream.... Hermitage has terrible service, terrible attitude, DQ on state street is as awesome as sharpsville.... No more across from Walmart!!! ...

Nick's DQ is a throwback retro style DQ. He and his team are always friendly and courteous. Some may not agree because they can get overwhelmed at times at peak hours but they will always treat you with the utmost courtesy. My family and our four fur kids made going there a regular event during sunny summer days, and Nick would always be welcoming. Sadly we'll be hard pressed to find another DQ like his, since we're moving. We'll miss the good treats...
