El Tequila Mex Restaurant — Restaurant in Vienna

The mood was wonderful. Location is good...The food? Drive the extra miles.. Techno/trance music played, which was very different from the average Mexican restaurant. The outside needed to be cleaned a bit. There was a ton of cigarette buds and gum. The workers stood by the bar and chatted. I understand small places aren't always busy, but we didn't want to hear their conversations from across the place I was told the cooks barely understood English while she took our order, and my meal was proof. The waitress didn't know the details of the food. If I had allergies, I would have been in DEEP trouble. The price is up there as well, and not worth it. My husband and I didn't eat. I ordered a shrimp meal, and he ordered a steak meal. The meal was a mess, and tasted like the beans and rice were out of can. Even the cheese tasted plain and store bought. The salsa was sweet, and had no kick to it. Our son had a plain cheese quesadilla. They burnt it the first time, and thankfully she didn't bring it out. He took two bites and put it down since the cheese was mushy, rather than hot and stringy.

Don't get this place mixed up with the wonderful Tequila's chain. I will not be visiting this...

Just had lunch with my family, we are traveling from Southwest Florida to Missouri. We got the lunch time meals which are from 11-3, and price range is between 4-7 dollars.

They gave us chips and salsa, we asked for a small cup of cheese. It came out immediately, white queso and was delicious! My mom and stepdad got the taco salads they were really good. The taco salads were in a big taco shell bowl, they had lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream, shredded cheese and you could choose beef or chicken. My brother and I had the taquitos mexicanos, best taquitos I've ever had! They came with some potato rice, refried beans, lettuce, a tomato, sour cream, guacamole and 2 taquitos I was full. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. The food came out fast and hot, best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. I always really enjoy El Tequilas. But today I called in, and after barely getting through the order. I was rushed off the phone and told my order would be ready within 10-15 minutes. When I got there around 15 mintues later, I stood and waited another 30 to be asked what I had called in. I was brought a bag, that I checked, to see that over half my order was missing from it. There were things spilled all in the bag, and my order of shrimp fajita nachos had an entire uncut onion in it. While I was there, there were multiple people who had called in and were having trouble with their orders as well. It's a great place to sit down and eat, but I wouldn't recommend...
