If you eat at this Culver’s be sure that what you order is what they actually order for you. I stopped there yesterday to order3 cheese burger baskets to go for my daughter her husband and myself. I expected to pay around $20. The price came to just over $30. I should have questioned it, but I was in a hurry and didn’t. When I got our food I saw on the receipt that they rang up double cheeseburger’s. So I confronted the young guy that took my order and he said didn’t you want doubles? My response was, did I tell you I wanted doubles? No. Did you ask me if I wanted doubles? No. I told him if I wasn’t in a hurry I would demand a refund. And I left it at that. People make mistakes so I thought. When I got to my daughters house I told her about it. She said oh yeah they do that all the time at that restaurant. And that if you only want a single burger you have to specify that’s what you want, or they automatically ring up doubles without asking. So apparently that’s how people are trained there. It is deceitful and very wrong for a business to operate that way. I love Culver’s food and eat at other ones periodically and I always get asked if I want to upgrade to a double. Don’t know if I will ever go back to the Plover Culver’s again, but you can bet I will be keeping an eye on my orders from now on at all of the Culver’s. Culver’s has a good name for themselves and I sure hope that that name doesn’t get ruined by the deceitful training of...
Read moreCulver's is generally top notch and deserving of the fame it has earned even thousands of miles from the nearest store. This particular Plover location feels more like dining at a knockoff and not worthy of the renown.
Generally, culver's fish sandwich is easily four star and being fried should be safe, but we both were ill after eating them on a recent visit.
Maybe it was a fluke. So we gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried their legendary butter burger at a subsequent visit. While we didn't get food poisoning this time, it was unpalatable. The bun was stale and crushed. The burger meat itself was dry and about the size you'd get for a McDonald's value meal hamburger for a dollar.
The difference between this store and the one up the road in Point by Sentry, is night and day. If you're looking for a decent burger...
Read moreAlmost every time we go here our order is wrong or missing something. Once we went through the drive through and got two meals (one with pretzel bites and one with broccoli), and a cheeseburger kids meal with broccoli. It came in 3 separate bags so we thought it was all there. Nope, it was 3 bags of fries, one broccoli and one plain burger. The adult entrees were not i the bag. I drove back, was accused of lying again. They reluctantly remade my food after I showed them the slip on bags in no way matched what was in the bags. One time I ordered a plain cheeseburger for my son and it was nothing but pickles between the bun. No patty, no cheese, just pickles. Another time I found a long blonde hair in my patty. I have shorter brown hair. The lady with long blonde hair accused me of planting it...
