Mission Coffee House — Restaurant in Village of Plover

Some friends and I recently rented the upper mezzanine space at the Artist and Fare building. Russ was so wonderful to work with leading up to our event and helped us solidify all the details. He was incredibly professional as well as accommodating at every turn.

We were beyond happy with the amazing taco/nacho/fajita bar they catered for our lunch. The service downstairs, attaining our drinks, as well as interactions with the catering staff were excellent. Russ’ sons, in particular, were so attentive to our food situation upstairs whilst waiting on customers downstairs. I was extremely impressed with their thoughtfulness while checking in on us.

The upper mezzanine is such a beautiful space and it was such a blessing to be able to utilize it. We were able to move the tables and chairs around to best accommodate our event and the 20 attendees. We weren’t even asked to take care of any of the tables of chairs afterwards which was so amazing.

This morning, after my first sip of their unflavored 2-shot 16oz Latte, I was overcome with caffeine induced; yet steamed-milk softened, euphoria. As the hot smooth coffee flowed into me from its humble vessel, I was suddenly inspired to run through the streets whilst screaming, "It's ok people! 2020 is almost over AND WE MADE IT"!

As the flavor of perfectly roasted and ground beans warms my soul, I want to charge into the day with the tenacity of a Louis L'Amour novel! I want to call the general contractor of the house that I am building in my mind and tell him, "Seamus, upgrade the cabinets to Italian Walnut! Its only money right!?"

As my senses are embraced by the richness of this latte; I have a plan that will rescue all of the puppies and kitten from the shelters, I can travel in time and shake the first barista's hand, and FINALLY, I have the intestinal fortitude to finish magnum opus that we all have within us.

Mission Coffee is one of my absolute favorite places in the Point/Plover area. I am there at least once a month to buy their whole bean coffee and regularly peruse their lunch menu during the work week when I simply don't have it in me to eat leftovers.

Recently, I ordered a salad through their mobile order feature (another thing I love about this place). And yes, ordering a salad may seem silly or unremarkable, but neither are true with Mission. They have exceptional dressing options and the vegetables are always crisp and fresh. On this particular day, I learned why. When I arrived for pick-up, though earlier than my scheduled time, I was greeted by staff and told my salad was ready but they had waited for my arrival to dress the salad so it wasn't soggy!

It is that attention to detail and quality of service which keeps me coming back for coffee, salads, and more....
