KFC — Restaurant in Village of Plover

This was the worst KFC experience I have ever had. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I'm not from around here but am quite familiar with KFC from my hometown. My friends and I came here on vacation to stay at the WI Dells and on our way home decided to split the bill and stop at KFC for dinner.

We were greeted, and the cashier was very friendly. I told the cashier the exact amount of money that I wanted to pay with a debit and and how I wanted to pay with cash. What ended up happening was the cashier took the cash off of the order first, neglecting my request to pay off the debit card first. It turned into a nightmare.

The manager got involved and everything was a mess. Because I have experience in retail, I offered to void the order and start over. Nope. It could have been solved and defused very quickly, as this was a simple math problem. There were a number of solutions they could have utilized but didn't.

This took a good 10 minutes, and I felt terrible for the people behind me in line. It was embarrassing and completely unprofessional. I ended up paying more than the initial total - for some unknown reason that was apparently tax related - just to get out of line faster.

As a result, a customer waiting in the store stood impatiently at the counter and asked if her order was ready in an incredibly demeaning tone. They had, indeed, called out her number, but she apparently didn't hear it. Instead, she defended herself by saying she was distracted by the "complete and totally mess the cash register."

I apologized profusely and was sure to thank the manager that helped me. She ignored me and neglected to acknowledge that any of the workers were at fault for the incident. Their negative attitudes shocked me.

They also didn't give us our 2 liter soda. I had to have a friend go and ask for the soda we ordered but did not receive.

If you are looking for smart, educated, and friendly people, this is NOT a restaurant to visit in the WI Dells. I am incredibly disappointed by their service and "customer blame." The KFC's I usually go to are very friendly and accurate. This location is a complete and utter...

Went to the Stevens Point KFC and tried to order a crispy chicken dinner and sides. Outside speaker was covered with a paper sign stating they would be closing in a few hours. Between the signage and confusion of the person taking the order at the drive through, I pulled up to the window to learn they were out of crispy chicken and it would not be ready for 17-20 minutes. Since this wasn't the first time we have had problems with orders from there, we decided to drive 14 miles to a newer KFC in Plover. That was a nightmare there. Summery: placed our order.....had order taker read our order back....so far, so good...pulled up to window....waited a few minutes....paid for it....and they handed me a bag full of nothing that we ordered. I gave it back to them....and re-confirmed what we had ordered. Now we waited..and waited....while cars backed up behind us. Finally, we got our order, and we pulled out of everyones way to check the order. Low and Behold.......it was missing part of the order..... Parked, went in and spoke with manager. NEVER AGAIN… this is just ridiculous ordered 3 things 2x 4 piece chickens with 2 sides for each Only got one 4 piece chicken and 3 sides. The pieces of chicken aren’t even worth saying they are chicken they are so small. And I don’t mind waiting I really don’t. But please let me know there is a wait after I have been waiting/ standing for my carry out for 15 mins. I live a bit aways and wanted to feed my husband and his brother so I can go home after a long day and relax but you’re missing over half my fricken ordere. I am not please the manager was not very nice at all when he had to reimburse me back for the chicken sandwich cause all I got was “ there is going to be a very long wait on your chicken sandwich” I mean I worked in food service I used to be a waitress for 9 years. I know things get busy and heckled around. But please for the love of mercy don’t be rude. I am very displeased with this KFC and I WONT be back.
