First time here. Arrived around 6PM on a Friday night. Had to wait about 15 mins to get a table, which was understandable.
I didn't really understand the theme of the restaurant. It was like a brewing restaurant, mixed with a car junk yard. There was a lot of decorations in the restaurant.
Service was good. Our waiter constantly came by to check up on us, and our water. Enjoyed our time here. It was pretty busy, but the restaurant was pretty spacious, that I did not feel so clustered.
Food we ordered: House-Breaded Cheese Curds I have never had cheese curds with jam. Both combination together was odd, but not bad. For a not fancy, foodie person like me, it just tasted like grape jam. Presentation was pretty.
Blueberry Lavender Gin Fizz I could barely taste the alcohol, and I am one who usually do not like strong mixed drink - but this drink, it was almost as if they only poured 1 drop of liquor. The drink was good though.
Angus Sirloin Perfectly cooked. This dish was delicious! I enjoyed every single last bite.
Bleu Nueske Pizza It was ok. I expected more from this pizza. Felt like it was missing something. The edge bread of the pizza was dry. I've had better, flavorful flat pizzas.
Three Cheese Mac Dish was definitely different from your normal kind of mac and cheese. When I first tried this dish, I knew something tasted familiar. If you are Asian & eat ramen noodles, 10/10 you will also taste this too. This dish tasted like someone made some mac and cheese, and had a packet of mama ramen noodle dry seasoning laying around, so they decided to mix the two. The cheese in this dish wasn't the star, it was the ramen noodle dry seasoning. It was very overpowering, and I did not like it.... Tasted too much like mac & cheese mixed with Mama Shrimp Tom Yum Flavor Noodles.
Overall, the food was ok. I probably would not come here again, unless I am wanting that Angus Sirloin. It was a good experience though, to see how new restaurants are trying come up with new food combos. To me, the different food ideas was almost like a broke college student who had these random food laying around and decided to make something with their...
Read moreI found a hair in my food Wednesday July 6, 2022 at Mickeyâs of Plover. I had ordered the Spicy Southwest Burger and it came with fries. I was enjoying it until I noticed the black hair at the bottom of the fries. I immediately contacted our waiter who apologized, removed the plate and returned to our table informing me that he will comp us one beverage. When I questioned why a drink and not the meal he then changed and compâed both drink and my meal. I asked if kitchen staff work face masks or hair nets and I was told they wear caps. I asked to speak to the manager and Abby was not on duty that day and I was offered the bar manager but I turned it down. I got one more apology from the waiter and the check. My wife had stopped eating her food at the time I found the hair in my food and we did not wish to take left-overs home.
I did not feel this complaint was taken seriously. Or at least I feel the staff was not trained to respond to situations like this properly. Leaders should come out and be hands-on with customers, willing to listen without saying anything without talking around issues. I do not know if our waiter took a picture of this to show Abby. There was no offer for a replacement meal, they did not ask for my information to follow up with me.
I will not be returning to this restaurant due to its lack of care in contaminating food to...
Read moreThe food and drinks are fantastic. The service, not so much.
The last time we were there, we were told we couldn't seat our self at the bar, because the waitress wouldn't know we were her responsibility. We thought, okay, makes sense. The hostess sat us at one of the High Tops in the bar area. We sat there for 15 minutes. No one even came up to ask if we wanted any to drink. The waitresses kept looking at each other asking each other who's table that way. Mind you, our group of 3 people were one of 3 total groups in the restaurant. We decided to leave. The hostess asked us why we were leaving so soon, we told her. She grabbed my arm said "No, don't go!". We went back, waited another few minutes before someone came up and asked us what we wanted. We gave her our drink order, but she never gave us any menus. This went on and a second (different waitress) asked what we wanted to eat. We waited a short time for our fantastic (as usual) food. We waited about 10 minutes for the (3rd) waitress to come up and clear out plates. No apology. Just an excuse that no one knew who our waitress was. Never once did they ask us how the food was, or if we wanted drink refills.
I'm sorry, but having a similar experience for the last 5 times we went isn't worth the food. The only time I will be going back is if a group of friends suggest it for a birthday....
