As someone who loves to make pizza and truly appreciates the art of making pies and good pizza this place is fantastic! My wife’s parents live in Millville and while visiting we looked this place up, it’s a great pizza. I was mostly attracted because the story on the website was so endearing about how she started working at Big John’s in Bridgeton and worked her way up and this place was a nice ode to him. The story got me and when I tried the pizza I was so happy this was good. My toddler couldn’t stop saying mmmm good pizza, let’s say I was a bit jealous, he likes mine but loves theirs, I’ll have to step up my game :-).
I ordered the Italian Hoagie pizza, chicken parm pizza and omg they need to be on the map for how delicious they were such a creative idea for personal pan style. Also we got pepperoni, regular cheese, and veggie. My break down:
Dough- nice soft dough close to most delivery style, I definitely liked it because I didn’t leave one crust Sauce- this was in my opinion stellar, it was a semi sweet sauce that was lite and not too heavy making it the right balance. Cheese- excellent fresh mozzarella Veggies- specifically my wife loves the sweet peppers on the pizza instead of the usual green pepper it was a sweeter one and I agree made all the difference.
I didn’t eat in the store but customer service was great. If it wasn’t 96 degrees out I would have eaten outside. Overall this place is a hidden gem in my opinion, surprised it’s not more famous, it should be as far as Vineland/Millville/bridgeton goes it’s my favorite spot. I wish them a lot of Success because...
Read moreI’m a be 100% honest they need to take the good and holy name of big John’s in Bridgeton New Jersey off of this pizza spot first off if you ask them if they’re related to The big John’s in Bridgeton, New Jersey they get mad and give you this thing about how they original to the original recipe and that the spot in Bridgeton isn’t original blah blah blah originally I gave up on this Pizza spot but during the summer, a friend of mine ordered and it tasted just like big John’s in Bridgeton just that one day because we’ve ordered here several times I get excited after tasting a pizza that taste just like the one in Bridgeton that I order a week or two later and it was nothing like what I tried every once in a while they will make it taste just like the spot in Bridgeton but other than that, this got its own flavor. It’s own taste that I don’t like you’re gonna be putting big John on the damn pizza place says. And I quote big John’s pizza, queen, and this trash taste like little Caesars but sweeter smh fooled me to many times
It’s worth the 25 minut drive to Bridgeton to get a pizza they claim is there with the original recipe and that...
Read morePizza Queen's pizza is rather off putting, since I'm quite sure the 2nd ingredient in their pizza is sugar, followed by high fructose corn sugar. It's really sweet, something pizza shouldn't be. It's actually somewhat decent with their thicker crust party trays, but the thin pie is just... No. It's probably the worst pizza in town, but that's forgivable since they make up for it elsewhere.
Even though their pizza is pretty much disgusting, they have a genuinely good overall menu (aside from anything claiming to be Italian fare), and staff are pretty chill. Sandwiches, appetizers, and even their cheesy bread are all excellent, and if you're into the novelty and weird, they have a massive cheeseburger called the Gutbuster that could feed an African village for a week.
I do recommend Pizza Queen for their party trays and sandwiches, but if you're looking for pizza that tastes like pizza and not candy, La Locanda (doesn't deliver) across the street is a better option, or Dominick's a mile down the road is...
