1st I want to say the food is excellent. The service on the other hand is not that great.
We do birthday lunches at my job and the birthday boy choose Olympia. It took him a while to debate if he wanted to order their, because they messed up a birthday orders for our company in the past and did nothing to fix it. When we called to explain..it was like OK.
So we order. And 2 co workers went to pick it up, when we tried to take stuff out of the bags to check it against the list, the server put her hand on top of the food boxes and said, this, this and this is in here and this this and this is in here and so fourth and started to hand us stuff.
When we got back to the office the birthday boys lunch was not in the bags and another order was completely wrong. We spent $155 on lunch and 2 people never got food. Again when we called and explained, they had the (I could care less) attitude. We were on the phone for 20/30 minutes talked to several different people, and the woman said I don't know what to do for you. We said you can start by refunding us for the missing meals. She said let me get my boss. He gave us a 12 credit, he said when u come in just say you have a credit of 12 dollars. No conformation #, did not take a name, nothing.
We made the birthday boy order something and pick it up on his way home, we were scared they may deny him the credit at a later date, because they took no info. I'm just gong to say this restaurant does not value the people who put money in their pockets. Olympia has been taken off our...
Read moreI wanted Greek food for my birthday so we decided to try Olympia. This was the strangest Greek restaurant experience I've ever had. I know not to expect anything in Vineland to compare to Greektown in Chicago, but some authenticity is still nice.
Saganaki was prepared like a flat, square, breaded, cheese stick and placed on a pita. Normally, I don't even eat it with pita but there it was. It still tasted OK. My entree was pitiful. I almost asked to see the menu to find the description of what I ordered to compare to my plate. Basically, it was little strips of seasoned dry chicken breast with rice cooked in chicken broth. That was it on the plate except for a little plastic cup filled with "Greek red sauce." When I tried to barely touch it to taste it I discovered a thick film. The flavor was awful. I ended up putting the chicken, which tasted ok, on a pita and eating it that way.
My father ordered the crab cakes and said they were terrific, the best he has had in a long time.
I had a Greek coffee and we shared baklava for dessert. Both were good.
My dad wants to go back for the crab cakes. I told him I'm game. Next time I think I'll...
Read moreWe've ordered takeout from here many times over the past few years... Used to be a solid choice for nice dinners but we've started having issues with the orders missing items... And prices, a container of some tomato sauce on the side and they charge $6... Today was the last time, we called for two specials before 4 pm which should be $14 each... my husband got home and we were charged almost $40! I called and the woman who answered, who is typically pretty abrupt and rude, says that's only before 4 pm... And I remind her that I called AND the food was scheduled to be ready before 4 pm... she said the cash register automatically charged full price... I hate scammers. She said we can come back for a refund.. and while I think she was calculating the refund amount, she disconnected the call. Enough. I can't be bothered to call back or go back, not for the refund or for food again. Of course tonight we got one pita instead of two rolls, what a joke. What a shame, people don't seem to care about how they treat their customers or have any...
