Great atmosphere and food!
This little burger joint feels like you found an awesome underground restaurant in NYC. It's small and even a bit cramped, but that all adds to the atmosphere. There's something very appealing to being in a smaller place and watching dozens of customers pick up their food. Also, sitting at the "bar" area gave us full view of the kitchen. It added a bit of a hibachi grill experience seeing the giant burgers being made in front of us.
We got two burgers and fries. All the food was amazing. Tasted extremely fresh and the bread was a perfect compliment to the burger. We both got our burgers well-done and they were very far from dry. Nice and juicy without much grease. The fries were also nicely seasoned. I'm excited to try their mozzarella sticks and onion rings! My only complaint about the food is that I decided to go with a burger without bacon but got to try some off my girlfriend's burger and instantly regretted not getting it! While mine was great, the bacon was some of the best bacon I've had. Nice and juicy, but still crispy. Perfect amount of fat to add flavor to the meat. That beautiful mixture of sweet and salty flavor stayed in my mouth for minutes after eating a small bit of it.
The staff was nice and made the atmosphere feel homely. The information about the burgers and menu was clearly explained and added even more personality to the restaurant. We were informed that all the meat is shipped daily and I could definitely believe it with how fresh the burger was. Also, the toppings were prevalent but not overpowering to the point where you can't taste the meat.
Overall, I'm already excited to go back here. We were even talking about our next visit before we finished our meals. If the other foods are on par with the burgers, fries, and fresh drinks, then Outlaw's is a home run. There really just seemed to be this family vibe where everyone is proud to be a part of the food and service. Again, very excited to eat at Outlaw's again. If anything, my only complaint is that seating is limited, but as I mentioned before, that makes it feel like a small hidden gem. Makes it a very unique experience rather than yet another boring restaurant chain.
Also, there is outside seating by the custard window. I also did not get to try the custard but I did see that they had...
Read moreWe will not be back. They really need to get it together. 2 girls on the floor and 1 behind the counter looking confused about what to do next. We stood at the door because there was no room to get in. The waitresses walking through the small crowd of people not saying one to word to any one as they rushed by a dozen times. After standing there for about 8 minutes I stopped one of the waitresses and asked if we wait or seat ourselves. She says you can sit where ever you want. So we go sit in the only 2 seats open. She walks by our table 5 different times before I got her attention and she finally comes to our table and takes our order. It took more then 30 minutes for our food to come to the table and when it did my burger squirted blood all over when I bit into it. It was all over my bun running down my hand and all over my fries. I almost threw up! I waited patiently for our waitress to make her way back to our table but she never did walking by us several times never looking our way now if you have ever been in this place the tables are less then arms reach of the other and she had customers on all sides of us asking if they needed anything more tea more napkins and never once came to our table. So I had to yell excuse me across the room to her. I told her my burger was bloody and that I could not eat it this way so she took it to get remade. By the time the I got my food back we were the only people left in the dining room. I bit into my burger and blood came pouring out again. So I asked the waitress for a bun because the bottom of the bun was soaked in bloody juice. She brought me a bun and added that if I wanted a burger next time to make sure I tell them extra extra well done! Man I almost lost my temper but I held it together. We looked at each other and said never again! They must have done it up good when CBS 3 was there because it was the worst experience ever! 28$ for a burger and a foot long that came with a small amount of fries and the tea with no ice. I'd rather go to Wendy's where the tea...

My wife and I wanted to try Outlaw's Burger Barn because we hear nothing but good things. We also heard it can be a wait so we decided to order well ahead of time. At 2pm, we placed an order for two burgers for 7pm. This way we could swing by the pick it up on our way home for dinner. We figured with a 5 hour lead time there should be no wait. They know it should be ready by 7pm and it's been paid for.
We get there right at 7pm with a line that maybe moves one person every 5 minutes. I get to the register and let them know the name and order number so we could grab our food and go. I'm told it's going to be another 5-10 minutes and they'd bring it to our car. After 15 minutes I go back up and am told the same thing, 5-10 more minutes.
Our 1 year old is getting fussy now and we're getting frustrated with the wait. Another 15 minutes pass and I'm told just 5 minutes now. I decide to give them one last chance and wait the 5 minutes.
When it's still not ready and I'm told another 5-10 minutes again I tell them I want a refund. That we put in an order 5, now almost 6 hours prior for a 7pm pick up. That I could understand if we walked up and ordered at the window, but we didn't.
The manager pretty much begs me not to and magically our order was all of a sudden ready for pick up. We have no time to eat by this time due to waiting an hour for food that we put an order in for hours in advance and we need to get our kid to bed.
The staff seemed completely disorganized and they didn't have any communication between each other. I cannot believe people still go here with the service we received. While in line several other people were asking for refunds and walked away angry. I really don't believe the reviews for this place are genuine from our experience.
TL;DR: We waited an hour for food that we ordered 5 hours ahead of time. The staff was disorganized and lacked...
