This review is LONG overdue...

Flour Child created our wedding cake back in October of 2020 along side another little honeymoon cake.

What we ordered:

Bottom/biggest cake: Cake - Italian Cream (coconut & walnuts) Filling - White Chocolate Ganache Buttercream - Amaretto Buttercream

Middle cake: Cake - Lemon Filling - Raspberry Preserves Buttercream - Lemon

Top/smallest cake: Cake - Devil's Food Filling - Peanut Butter Buttercream - Banana Cream

& The honeymoon cake was a coconut cake with pineapple filling and coconut buttercream with shredded coconut all over it.

I am not kidding when I say that I am trying to think of an excuse to order it all over again, it was seriously the yummiest cake and cake combination I have ever tasted. So freaking good. We actually over-ordered so we would make sure not to run out, but even the leftovers were gobbled up over the next couple of days our family and wedding party stayed at the beach house where we held the ceremony.

Plus working with Cassie and Cathy was wonderful...they were patient with me and very helpful and kind during the planning process and onsite, they worked with the florist to decorate the cake with some of the florals that had been designated for the cake. It was so beautiful....and I cannot say enough how truly delicious each of the different cakes were.

I can't recommend them enough...Thank you so much!

We had planned a Gender Reveal party, and decided to have our gluten-free cake made at Flour Child (the color of the cake filling is the gender of the baby). They told us weeks in advance that we could place our order the Friday morning before our Sunday party. We planned our party around this promise.

We arrived Friday to place the order, when they told us that wasn't enough time for them to make our cake.

They then offered to make us cupcakes instead, and charged us full price ($60) for 24 cupcakes.

We appreciated the cupcakes, but if you can't stick to your word, don't give it. If you have a first time customer who has placed their trust in you and has been let down, and least give them a discount and an apology. This was our first and last time ever dealing with Flour Child, and we will not recommend them to anyone. I'm sure what they make is good, but we were really let down as first...

The cake was really wonderful. It looked and tasted really lovely. I’m sure their other baked treats are amazing also as I saw many, many people entering the shop when my husband went to pick up my cake. They seemed to be respectful about distances from what I could see from the outside, no large crowds. The only thing that was not Pleasent was once my husband came back he told me the reason it took such a long time to pick up a prepaid cake was because they spelled by name wrong, he asked for it to be corrected, but they spelled it wrong a second time. He said the woman looked irritated with him when he pointed out after the first correction it was still wrong cause she was getting ready to leave for the day. Anyway, I’m really grateful he was persistent in getting it right cause we don’t get to do many celebratory things during a pandemic, it was nice to enjoy a delicious cake with my...
