Growing up, my dad was a fan of these type stores so I expected bread and cakes like when I was a little girl. To my surprise, they had much more. I went in for bread but when I left, I had spent almost $50!!
The ladies working there were very helpful and friendly. I think this will be my go-to spot from now on for bread, cookies, chips, candy, soup mix, fruit preserves/butters, etc.
One of the things that I found was different types of soup mix. I decided that I would try the chicken and wild rice. I made it the other night and added fajita flavored chicken and salad shrimp. Omgee! It was one of those "go ahead and slap yo' Mama" type meals. (Please don't try this at home. It's a figure of speech 🤭😁) Now...it would be perfect for a family of big eaters but it was wayyyy too much for someone living alone, like myself. It was very easy to make and allows for creativity, which I love. Try them.. and let me know...
Read moreI haven't been here in quite a while. Saw the Tuesday discount sign and stopped. Some places never change. It's not fancy at all, a little dingy maybe but great prices on Tasteekake products, primarily cake products and breads. They sell both fresh and recently outdated. There's nothing wrong with being outdated a couple days if you use it promptly. New to the place Mrs. Freshley's Reese and HersheS cupcakes. I got the Hershey's, it was really good. The bread section is also fresh and recently outdated. It has all types of breads, buns etc If you're going to have a function aka a bbq, you can save a lot of money and have real good burgers and hotdog buns. They even sell ketchup and mustard!...

Read the governor's order especially the part about exemptions and stop acting on authority...
