1607 Grill at Williamsburg National — Restaurant in Virginia

With the exception of the seafood bisque, it was some of the worst food and service to be had anywhere. We will not be back. The beer available was not to our liking at all. There is just no reason to go back even to just sit and have a brew.

The food was delivered cold, late, and wrong. Drinks were no better. Getting a silverware set for one of us was a problem.

When asked for ketchup, was given cocktail sauce and then waitress thought it should not be problem as SHE liked cocktail sauce when the burger and fries had it all over them and it was discovered. She didn't take responsibility or apologize for bringing the wrong thing when ketchup was requested, but took the plate away and brought another much, much later and the burger was hard and way overdone from the medium requested. The Rueben was dry, thin and tasteless. Worst I've ever had and it was supposed to be on special.

We are normally fairly accepting and do not expect perfection, but we also expect to receive at least a little of what we went for.... an acceptable meal, a reasonable price, decent service. We don't feel we got an acceptable meal (other than bisque) or decent service... and price would have been reasonable if food had been better, served hot and with correct condiments at near the same...

Our fist time today, obviously the amazing weather brought out a lot of golfers. They get first priority for service. The bar maid literally waited on people who arrived after me in line, but they were golfers making the turn. After this happened about 5-6 times, I gave up and left the bar area. The service was subpar, only because of being under staffed and this place needs to hire more servers on a Saturday at lunch time and it would be awesome. Our server was the only server for the entire grill and 1 bartender and I think 1 cook. Our server did a great job considering the number of customers she had to serve. One star for atmosphere is actually reflective of the drink that I got, as my order was actually through DoorDash. The coffee was bitter, almost tasting burnt! The whip cream was waxy and oily?? Just absolutely nothing good about it! Breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese, was good, I would just prefer the bagel be toasted prior to the sandwich being assembled. chocolate croissant was OK,...
