Piece de resistance of the Indo-Nepalese restaurant experience. It was my family's first time coming to this restaurant. We were very pleasantly greeted by both the host and the service staff. The decor and ambiance is very nice. Being vegetarian, its hard to find good-flavored dishes. Hands down, this restaurant delivered a multitude of flavors and heat profiles for the palate. We started off with a few veg appetizers including mixed veggie pakora, chili potato fries, chaat papri and two samosas. Prices were reasonable and the appetizers delivered fairly quickly. Our server was very considerate and looked after us the entire evening. Our main entrees included paalak paneer, malai kofta, gobi manchurian, rice, and veg momos with a side of the largest butter naans I've seen and tandoori roti to match. Seems the Nepalese touch to the cooking makes the flavors unique and a positive taste experience. For folks who love Indian food, you must give this place a try. My advice is to try medium level spice first. I eat a lot of spice myself but when I took the hot level, it was more than I can handle even though I'm of Indian descent. My last suggestion is to make sure you know the price of your dish because their system may not be in sync with the printed menus but they will happily correct any error. I had one question on one of the dishes ordered, and the server went above the call of duty to verify my question and correct the dish. For that reason, we felt compelled to leave a higher than standard tip. I do wish this restaurant good success and we will be returning again...
Read moreOur son, visiting from Florida, wanted to go somewhere different/interesting and quiet so that we could enjoy a relaxing dinner and conversation. After suggesting several local places, we decided to go to Aago since none of us had ever been there and it looked as if it met our criteria. This is not your typical Indian restaurant although it certainly has the typical menu items. We were intrigued by the Nepalese offerings which were, indeed, unique and delicious. We all appreciated being asked for the spice level we wanted. I, for instance, selected mild but the son selected medium and found his dish to be plenty spicy, but not too spicy. We selected two appetizers from the Nepalese list of food (the vegetable momo and Bhatmas Sadeko) and really enjoyed the different spice profile--not hot spicy, just different spicy. The restaurant seemed to do a brisk takeout business but on the Wednesday evening when we went, there were only a couple of other tables of diners. That suited us just fine! It was quiet, our server was attentive, prompt, and very pleasant, and the food was plentiful and excellent. We are so glad we went and even though our son has left, my husband and I fully intend to go there again next time we want a...
Read moreWe decided to go here after driving by it so many times. The lunch buffet is $9.99 per person which is pretty good. We went for lunch and wanted to check out the lunch buffet food choices. They had it laid out very nicely, everything hot and fresh. The choices were varied with several vegetarian dishes and non vegetarian dishes. There were two dishes that stood out, the Aago French fries and Chicken wings. Both tasted excellent and not at all what I expected, no heavy curry taste, just lightly dusted herbs and spices mixed just right. Never had either before at any Indian restaurant and I've been to lots and lots of them. The chicken tikka masala was very good with the right blend of spices and ingredients which made the chicken dance on my taste buds. The mushroom mutter was very tasty. I'm hardly a vegetarian eater but that dish had me going back for more. After we finished our meal we topped it off with Carrot halwa which was surprisingly delicious. Most Indian restaurants fail at delivering it to their customers. We really enjoyed the food and the waiter Mahat was very professional, prompt and courteous. I would give this place 4.5 stars if I could. We will definitely...
