Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Virginia

Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. However the employees had terrible customer service. I went to Baskin Robbins because I found a BOGO coupon. I wasn't greeted when I walked in, when I was looking at the different ice creams so if them looked melted and the variety wasn't the best. Anyway there were no other customer in the store when I arrived and I saw the employees behind the counter on their phones at this point I had been waiting 5-6 minutes for some acknowledgment when that didn't happen I flagged down an employee that had already walked past me several times and asked him if he could help me. He rudely replied what do you want. I told him what I wanted, he made it and then disappeared without ringing me up. He walked past me again ON THE PHONE looked at me and didn't say anything I again prompted him to ring me up and looked surprised I had asked him to so. I try to use the BOGO coupon but he incorrectly rang it causing more frustration. It took 15 minutes for me to get 2 sundaes when there were no other customers that needed to be helped. Ordered a cake for a party on Christmas. We were told on the phone that they were open until 5 on Christmas, so we had the pickup at 3. Went to pickup the cake and they were closed and nobody was there. Tried calling the number for over a week and nobody would ever answer, so we finally went in person to speak to somebody about what happened. Manager tried to just hand us the cake, which was completely deformed and probably inedible at this point, as if nothing had happened. We obviously refused the cake and asked for a refund, which we were told was impossible since the owner wasn’t there. Manager said the owner would call the next day. The owner never called, but the manager did and said we had to come BACK in and get the refund. We said to just refund the card, he said no, we said send a gift card instead, he said no, we had to physically come back to the store, when we were just there. We asked for the owner’s number, since he was supposed to call us and never did, and he gave it to us. Called and texted the owner 4-5 times and they always ignored us. Apparently, the menu has been revamped since the last time I’ve been to this location. I requested a sundae and was told that they no longer sell sundaes. BASKIN-ROBBINS NO LONGER SELLS SUNDAES. Imagine that. So. I decide to build one a la carte, as the menu suggests. After selecting my ice cream, I request a topping. There were no toppings. Surely, I wasn’t hearing correctly because this IS Baskin-Robbins, right? I ask again, specifically requesting hot fudge. THEY DO NOT HAVE HOT FUDGE. Whipped cream, nuts, and cherry weren’t an option either. I took my overpriced two scoops and bounced.

I won’t be returning to this location, as I can buy scoops elsewhere. I came to Baskin-Robbins specifically for what I’ve been used to for years, only to realize that this location is best for persons who want plain scoops in cups or cones. That’s not at all what I’m interested in. I can buy a tub of ice cream from the grocery...
