Cardinal Restaurant and Lounge — Restaurant in Virginia

This restaurant and bar is located within the Hilton and for a hotel restaurant it is very good. The biggest plus is they are open till 1 am since they are an airport hotel. Doors is even served to the wee hours. Have eaten here many many times and as a whole are consistently good.

They have an impressive whiskey collection, and the bartender is knowledgeable. They have many cocktails choices and lots of beers on tap.

The burgers are great and so is the turkey club. Chicken wings are inconsistent but fine. They do a nice job on salads and their pot stickers...

The prices here are extremely expensive for food served in paper containers for dine-in service. The food seemed like it was premade and heated as needed. My tater-tots appetizer and a glass of iced tea was over $15.00. The salmon dish, also served in a paper container for dine-in service was small, and priced at over $33.00 (I noticed another person at the bar eating this). As there are no eateries within walking distance of the hotel, they have a monopoly and take advantage of it because people need to eat. I'll bring a bag dinner with me if I need to...

Our experience at the Cardinal restaurant was overall good. It's a restaurant inside the Hilton hotel. There is a bar with seating, lounge and restaurant seating. Gladys was our server and she took great care of us, very friendly and fast service. She checked on us several times and gave good recommendations for food. We both had the Santa Fe Chicken salad.
