Old Ox Grille & Cardinal Bar — Restaurant in Virginia

Food is marginal at best. Staying at the hotel, this is the only restaurant option. Three days of meals has given a pretty clear picture of 2 dining choices, that are the same menus. Spinach omelet was made with soggy frozen spinach. The breakfast buffet ($14) had powdered scrambled eggs. Strawberry shortcake made with frozen strawberries and cut up squares of Sara Lee pound cake. The rueben was soggy. Hamburgers are safe. Coffee is bitter, the espresso machine "broke 3 weeks ago." The wait staff gives you the feeling you are an imposition. So disappointing...

Wonderful experience for lunch in between business meetings! The old Ox Grill in the Hilton Washington Dulles Airport Hotel served our meals piping hot and wonderfully flavorful. We had the French onion soup, chicken piccata, and a side of asparagus. For dessert we had the homemade honey chefs Peach mousse and it was fantastic. After a miserable travelling day due to weather and ridiculously rude customer service rep at United Airlines at Dulles airport, we got stranded in this Hotel late in the evening with little options for food (at least no option we were willing to try).

My wife and I are so greatful for this resturant (and the hotel) and it was exactly what we needed at the time. The food was great, and not only cuz we were starving, and the staff was super friendly and easy...
