China Wong — Restaurant in Virginia

The food was average Chinese food. Portions weren’t as big as other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to, the “side of broccoli” was only four small pieces, and the fried rice was just rice, no onions or carrots or peas, and they only put four duck sauces in the bag, when our order was huge. General Tsos Shrimp, side of broccoli, fried rice, side of white rice, four egg rolls, order of spring rolls, crab wontons. The website said they closed at 10 pm that day and we call before before 9pm and the lady very rudely tells my man they just closed but she will make our food if he could be there in 10-15 minutes. We had no problem with that, not even 5 minutes away from our house. He should up 20 minutes later and she let him hear it. This is one of the owners and I understand it’s their business and they can close early if they want but what happened to wanting to please the customer and getting them to want to come back? She was rude in rushing us, her tone and acted like she was doing is this huge favor because she was going to stay open for us, instead of closing an hour and a half early. I guess their business is doing well enough that they didn’t need our money so I’m sorry to say I’ll be taking my Chinese food cravings and money elsewhere. I put one star for atmosphere because I’ve never been but tense, rude, and awkward come to mind when I asked my man. Wanted to try a different Chinese restaurant. And yet again disappointed. Went here based on The reviews. 🤦🏻‍♀️ We ordered : General Tso chicken Lacking sauce ; dry - never have I ever had GT missing sauce like this. 😯 and had 4 little pieces of broccoli. They were sad little broccoli. My daughters Sweet and sour chicken she said “tasted weird” .

Crab Rangoon was not good. It had a very strange taste and texture was off putting.

The “restaurant”: Run down and no AC. The young man that answered the phone was very nice. But the man wearing the apron and old -school -paper -cook- hat , that “greeted” me was rude. He told me to sign my receipt- when I asked for a pen he tossed it on the counter.

Picked up carry out on the way home. Upon opening the bag, realized beef and brocoli was missing, also no sauce and no fortune cookies. Kung pao was mostly carrots and celery lacking flavor. General Tso chicken was not the expected flavor as well. Drove the half hour back to the restaurant. Brought beef and brocoli home. It looked ok, but was also not the norm. Beef was very chewy, fishy, also lacking flavor. Told the gentleman that they left sauce packets out of the bag as well as the beef and brocoli. Still no sauce packets. Very hopeful that some good competition will move in with the new construction in the area. Will not return...
