Daddio's Grille — Restaurant in Virginia

I ordered a tequila and lime juice and was given a very sugary mixture of lime juice and tequila. Surprised at how sweet it was I asked for a second tequila and only limes, stating I did not want any sugar in the drink after learning they put sugar in their lime juice. I am a diabetic, I specifically asked for a drink that I can drink without having to check my insulin levels. Everything was fine and dandy until we requested a check and the drink I took one sip out of and requested another was on my tab. I asked for it to be taken off and was told that the manager would be unhappy at his employees if they took off a $6 drink. I paid for it and I explained why I did not drink it - for medical reasons and they still insisted I had to pay for it. I cannot believe in this day and age where you request something and are given something different that they don’t fix it and take it off your tab. It does happen but I will not be back. I went to Daddios for the first time on Saturday 7/20. Met some friends there for a birthday get together. First impression wasn't good. I was there at least 20 minutes and was never greeted by ANY wait staff. However, I had to leave my table and go order from the bar. That's when things began to look up. The bar staff was very attentive. I placed an order of loaded tots and a chicken quesadilla and a Coors Light. My food came out very fast. Let me tell you people...that quesadilla was to die for! It was the thickest most delicious quesadilla I've ever had. The loaded tots were delicious as well. After a less than stellar first impression, I have to say Daddios food was very tasty and hearty. Had a great time at Daddios. Was greeted upon entry by several different smiling patrons. My beverage order was taken about 3 seconds later and it was delivered to me promptly. The set up is very come and go as you please from one side(smoking) to the other (no smoking). I played a few games of pool and actually won the first two but lost the third to a local regular I'm sure. Overall it was a good time. Although I didn't order any food this time I have before and everything has always been above my expectations. Everything was delicious and the servings are not skimpy to say the least. The meat lovers pizza has to weigh two pounds or more. The upbeat atmosphere, fast and courteous employees and abundance of things to do and see make for a satisfying experience. That's all for now.
