Fiesta Azteca — Restaurant in Virginia

I visited this location about a month or so ago and I will not be back. The service was slow, the food was overpriced and mediocre at best, and is most certainly not what you’d consider traditional Mexican food. To top it all off when I received my bill I paid by credit card and left a cash tip, come to find out a few days later, not only did they receive my cash tip, they also charged my credit card an additional $5 tip without my consent. Yes, I know $5 is not a lot of money, and maybe they needed it more than I did, but it’s the principle of the matter. So if they did that to ten different tables, that’s an extra $50 they are making. They are basically stealing from their customers. I called the location and they said they “talked to the server” and said it was a “mistake”, and that I would be refunded. That never happened. I will never return there and I will make sure to tell others not to go to this...

This was my favorite restaurant, I don't know if this is just a fluke experience or what but it was absolutely not what im used to from this establishment. Me and my husband ordered the same thing we usually order. The food was not as good as it usually is and I could tell that it had been sitting for some time before it got brought out to us because my tacos were soggy as well as my husbands nachos manolo. The service sucked and the waiter was far from attentive and on top of all that my sweet tea was sour and or old & when I asked for another drink (dr pepper or pepsi) i was brought a root beer. We had to beg for our check (asked another waiter) and finally we left. Overall the food probably would have been better if the service was better. The place is clean and has a solid restaurant feel when you walk in (not like a casual cafe). Our server was very nice and friendly and made suggestions on what to order from the vast menu options. Food came out quick and in quite big portions, which was nice. I had the fajita taco salad with both steak and chicken and the meats were cooked perfectly. My mom ordered one of the chicken dishes with grilled pineapple and she loved it a lot. Dad ordered the fajita trio (shrimp, steak and chicken) and it was generously full of proteins and not skimpy like some other places where they give you mostly vegetables.
