One word to describe it horrible I don’t know what’s going on. The grease was old. The food wasn’t fresh. …. AT ALL , The gizzards weren’t all the way cooked. It was literally rubbery. I called to make a complaint, he stated he didn’t know I wanted them fried hard. They’re literally not even cooked all the way. SMH you would think they would rectify the situation. The young man was very nonchalant I asked for a manager he stated he’s not here and proceeded to hang up Just a warning. This food isn’t worth it literally $20 down the drain.

*UPDATE * I spoke with the manager in regards to the issues I had he stated that it was a CHOICE to eat here and they don’t do refunds. This is an independent Golden skillet so I’m here to warn you all be very careful when it comes to giving your money especially two places that have no customer service skills. I definitely put in a report to the Better Business Bureau. It was horribly handled the situation. My advice is do not eat at this location...

First rule about Sandston Golden Skillet is you DON'T TALK about Sandston Golden Skillet. This review could get me in a lot of troubke. It's too good and no one else needs to know about it!

Seriously though, if you love chicken but hate gizzards, try the damn gizzards. No where else in the world prepares them they way they do. They come out crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside (not tough, chewy or gristly like anywhere else, yeck!). They are more like dark meat nuggets than gizzards. I don't dare touch gizzards from anywhere else.

The inside is kind of small, as you would expect from a place whose food speaks for itself. So call ahead for your order, the line inside could be a bit long and calling ahead can save you a bit of time.

Now I gotta get the hell out of here for opening my big mouth before Tyler Durdan...
