We went there for the first time 5 years after moving to DC which was very late. Really high quality sweets, never overwhelming with syrup but neither dried, freshly made. We tried their traditional white chocolate covered vanilla and chocolate cookies. We loved them. They were very fresh and covered with good quality chocolate. Their syrup soaked semolina cake -basbouse, -revani inTurkish- has the great flavor and sugar balance, lightly syrup. And when it comes to baklava; their square baklava was just freshly baked. we tried walnut baklava and chocolate pistachio baklava also pistachio sarma which they call Turkish baklava. If I start with pistachio sarma it is mostly like pistachio marzipan- fistik ezmesi- but definitely very delicious. It does not have much of phyllo dough. Turkish sarma baklava too does not have much of phyllo dough as much as traditional baklava but it is not like this. So we liked it very much, would definitely buy again but to us-as Turkish American- it is candy. And walnut baklava is a no. But their magic is pistachio chocolate baklava. It is just perfect. We bought two slices of the above and paid $18 which is not bad at all. I loved the paper bag that they place the plastic plate but they can have pastry boxes in my opinion which fits better with the quality of desserts. I did not ask if the have boxes though maybe they do for gifts. And yes the sweets are the perfect gift for your business or...
Read moreJenin Pastry is hands down the best spot for authentic Middle Eastern sweets and savory treats in the DMV area! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air, and you know you’re in for something special.
We ordered a variety of pastries and savory items, and every bite was absolute perfection. The knafeh was out of this world—crispy, gooey, and just the right amount of sweetness. The baklava was incredibly fresh, with layers of flaky phyllo dough and rich, nutty filling. The spinach and cheese pies were equally fantastic, with perfectly seasoned fillings wrapped in soft, golden dough.
Everything was so delicious that we ate it all before we even had a chance to take pictures! That’s how good it was. The service was warm and welcoming, and you can tell that everything is made with love and tradition.
If you’re anywhere near Falls Church, Jenin Pastry is a must-visit. Whether you’re craving something sweet or savory, they’ll have something that hits the spot. We’ll definitely be back for more!
Promise to go back...
Read moreEvery time I step into Jenin Bastry, I feel like I’m coming home. I always crave their kunafa — it’s hands-down the best I’ve had in the area. Perfectly crispy, cheesy, and soaked in just the right amount of syrup. Their basbousa is also incredible — moist, flavorful, and absolutely addictive!
Everything in the store is made with care and tradition — you can taste it in every bite. But what makes Jenin Bastry even more special is their kindness. They generously donated baklava to my school, and my students loved it! They were so excited to try traditional Arabic sweets, and they even wrote a thank-you letter to the bakery to show their appreciation. It was a beautiful moment of cultural sharing — and delicious, too! Also, they requested to arrange for a field trip to the store.
Whether I'm picking up treats for myself or a special event, Jenin never disappoints. Friendly staff, mouthwatering desserts, and a generous heart — Jenin Bastry is truly a...
