La Carreta — Restaurant in Virginia

Was a good spot for lunch. Price and quality and quantity were on point. 4 of us and with two beers and two waters ( the ladies' lol) bill was in the 60s with tip. Not bad nowadays for 4. Food was tasty with plenty of it! Friendly staff with a little language barrier, but still good. Bathrooms were awesome, I have to say. It looks like their may have been some outside seating that may be pet friendly. Not sure but I will update the review after we go back with the hound in tow. I think in lynchburg there is three of these restaurants. Not sure if the others share the same menus or have outside seating, but this one was definitely worth the visit and return visit. Check em out!

Had another wonderful, tasty meal here. My third. Food was on point. Price was on point. Salsa was on point. Service was on point. Quickly growing to be my #1 mexican restaurant while in lynchburg. Definitely give them a try! Update: After five employees conversed among themselves, I found out the seating outside is not pet friendly. Major bummer. I was really hoping to make this place my go-to Mexican restaurant in lynchburg. Still great...

I am a five star google reviewer I travel to a lot of different places including several restaurants diners and bars etc. The wait was not long at all to get seated however our food was pretty horrible, we ordered chicken steak and shrimp fajitas, I go to a lot of Mexican restaurants and typically order the same dish I noticed as the waitress bought the food out to us it was not extremely steaming and hot off the grill as it usually was every other time I order , food made us sick (everyone)food was dry and old looked like it had been an old order someone maybe messed up and tried to re-serve it to us to get rid of it and make their money back service was not all that great either well we will not be going back such a same for a great stylish elegant restaurant to want to make a bad name for themselves instead of just doing it right the first time if I could give zero...

I've been to other La Carretas in the area and have had 5 star experiences. Went here for the first time and we asked if we could wait out our approximately 20 minutes in the bar area, she said sure. In the about 15 minutes that we were waiting there, there was never a bartender to ask if we wanted anything, which was fine (though there were people seated at the bar with drinks and food). So at about 15 minutes in, the hostess comes to us, not to tell us our table is ready but to ask us to wait outside (40F outside). All of my party were on our phones not being loud or in anyone's way. There were others waiting in the lobby area including people after us. Our response: "you want us to wait outside?" Her: "yes" us: "or we can just leave" her: "ok". So we went to Mi Patron and had a fantastic dinner without waiting outside...
