Wow is this chain absolutely terrible. I had hopes this location was better than the lake of the woods location and I think it's even worse. Honestly. The only reason this place is open is due to the lack of any alternatives. You're better off buying frozen PF Changs in the freezer at Food Lion across the parking lot. Fried rice was old, soggy, flavorless and an unnatural yellow. Hot and sour soup was neither, it was very bland, thickened like canned gravy with few mushrooms or tree ears and just tasted of water and cornstarch. Egg rolls were old, possibly reheated with dry, tough edges and the centers soggy so the filling dropped in your lap as you gnaw on the leather like wrapper at the edge. Combo Lo Mein lacked ingredients, also lacked flavor, was undercooked/chewy and left a puddle of oil in container and on your plate and a grease slick in your mouth. The beef dish was possibly repurposed because the beef was stringy, dry and tough and tasted old and the sauce was like a packaged sweet and sour sauce with soy sauce added, veggies were mushy and tasted sweet if you wiped the brown stuff off. White rice was also old, overcooked soggy lumps with crunchy-dry bits to get stuck in your teeth. I am really surprised that you are not open! Do you guys work for money? You are leaving LOADS of money on the table. It’s also nuts that you don’t deliver. I have run kitchens, breakfast bars and banquet services for a Major Hotels and I’ve never seen anything like it. Unless you are having supply problems then OK, but other than that you should be making loads of money today. A very disappointed customer.

I really must come back to this review. After my terrible experience with China Wok, I had to come back to Lin’s Gourmet here in Ladysmith to order my Shrimp Fried Rice. I am elated to tell you it was “Excellent “!!!!. So glad I tried again. Thank you so much! Someone took the time to add the vegetables and there was a load of shrimp! Never ordering from this place ever again in my entire life. First of all, the food is already bland and the only reason I have ordered here is because it’s the only Chinese option. But after tonight, never again. I ordered what I thought was noodles aka chow mein, then got home and realized it was all vegetables. I drove all the way back, told them what happened and the lady says “we can’t exchange it because we would lose profit.” Understandable but jeez, if I made a mistake ordering why not just exchange it since it clearly wasn’t what I thought it was and I don’t like it? Thats what a normal business would do that wants returning customers. The other person with the review before was right… customer service is terrible.
