Showed up at 11:55 at drive thru - after waiting a few minutes someone comes on asking if they could take my order - of course .... I would like 2 quarter pounder with cheese and a ..... he stops me short and says sorry we only have Big Mac and nuggets - I ask how come ... replies sorry sir we only have Big Mac and nuggets - I say you are open til midnight correct? To which he replies yes but we only have Big Mac and nuggets now kitchen is closed.
Wait it's not midnight yet.... so I drive up to window and ask if I may have the number to contact customer service.. lady at window goes back and returns with another lady... who immediately says they are closed before I say a word .... it is now 11:59 - I mention this fact to which she says sorry we only have Big ma and nuggets - how come I ask? She says they already closed the grill and cleaned it so all is offered is AGAIN... Big Mac and nuggets as if I may have come across daft to the 3 people I have now been told what thy will serve me - I said wait it's not even midnight yet you clean you grill already? She begins to close the window and says again, sorry we are closed now! I ask for managers name "Flora" she says - ask for employee id number as I can understand why they would be reluctant to tell me her last name - she says the manager at this time you can just say (verbatim) I ask for phone number for customer service - the two start running off numbers looking at each other to confirm it is correct but they gave me the local number to that location too it off gave me the wrong number - I asked for address of location she said "I DONT KNOW" and closed the window - this is the manager?! The fact that the quality of food has never been good has not stopped me from stopping by for a milk shake or even a garbage pounder with thrills but this is just a bit unreasonable - they close the store and clean the grill before they are closed. Will follow up with customer service 800 number tomorrow - this is who McDonald's chose to represent the golden crutches? Lame performance for a sub par meal at $12 per visit
Went to Wendy's not too far and had a nice double burger with fresh toppings and some gratitude for the business..... I have been looking for a reason not to touch that garbage at McDonalds for some time now specially at the King's Park location in Burke VA - this would be my cue to take my munchies elsewhere after a 15 hour...
Read moreA Surprisingly Quiet and Modern McDonald's Experience I recently visited the McDonald's at 8976 Burke Lake Rd in Springfield, VA, and found it to be a unique experience for a Sunday evening. The location has a striking, modern appearance, which gives it a clean, updated feel. What really stood out was the atmosphere. For a Sunday evening, which is usually a busy time, the restaurant was surprisingly quiet. This made for a calm and relaxed meal, a pleasant change from the usual bustling environment of a fast-food restaurant. The Happy Meals were a definite highlight. They feature a great new selection of "Lil McDonalds Toys," which are adorable replicas of a McDonald's store front, kitchen, and ordering equipment. My kids loved them, and they’re a nice addition to the standard toy offerings. However, a few areas could use improvement. While the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, I was disappointed by the lack of paper napkins readily available on the counter. More importantly, the restrooms only had an air dryer, with no paper towels available. When an air dryer leaves something to be desired, having paper towels is essential. Lastly, the design of the parking lot poses a safety concern. Customers often have to walk across the drive-through path to get to the entrance, which could be risky, especially during peak hours. A better design is needed to separate pedestrian traffic from drive-through customers. Overall, this McDonald’s offers a modern, quiet dining experience with some great new Happy Meal toys, but attention to basic amenities and parking lot safety would significantly...
Read moreWORST CUSTOMER SERVICE POSSIBLE. Went inside and no one was at the front counter so I had to wait for someone to notice me, then after I placed my order of only 1 pico guac sandwich, the workers didn't seem to care about it since i was "inside" they completely forgot about my order. They seemed to care more about the drive thru customers than me but even the people inside... others who were behind me and ordered after me got their food before me so I had to ask the lady if my food was being made and she lied and said "yah they are making it" when obviously the 2 workers back there were not and I could clearly see that and after awhile she noticed it thank god and asked them for where my sandwich is and they went through the order receipts and saw mine and casually made a face like "oh yah oops I forgot it who cares I'll just make it now" and went on to make my damn sandwich and this all took exactly 21minutes and to top this all off when I asked for 2 condiments she only gave me 1... seriously are you that cheap? I think I'll stick to chick-fil-a they actually care about their customers and wouldn't let something like this happen. I mean even an apology from her would have been nice but I don't think mcdonalds crew members care about...
