I have never complained publicly or in private to the extent I did tonight. I absolutely cannot fathom how this restaurant could possibly still be allowed to serve anyone. I have went there for years. It's clear that within the last year or so, there has been a change in ownership or an entire new set of employees. My family went there tonight(10/6/22) and it was a shockingly, upsetting experience. We were there for 20 minutes and it was hands down the worst "dining" experience I've had in 30 years. We were asked for our drink order and the waitress walked away before getting all 4 requests without saying a word. Was off laughing, then returned and asked for the 4th. When we ordered our food, the waitress couldn't even understand their own menu and advertised specials. Our drinks were served and the tropical margaritas were nothing but syrup. We sent them back and a woman came to our table to tell us how wrong we were about our opinion and expressed the price. I said I would not be paying for them and we asked for new drinks. When she came back, she sat the 2 margaritas down so hard in an obvious way, and walked away. We instantly stood up and said we were leaving to a male employee. This woman then came up to me and proceeded to argue with me in a completely inappropriate way. For a service industry business who entirely depends on customer satisfaction, they are destroying any hopes in having a successful future. I will never return to this place again for my own reasons and the fact that I was told very clearly on my way out it was the last time I'd be leaving. This restaurant needs to be investigated, because based on the newest reviews, we are not the first to have a hostile experience. My young children witnessed...
Read moreBoth times we visited the Verona VA area, we had dinner at Mi Rancho. Yep, we thought it was that good. The service is friendly and efficient and literally a 1.5 mile drive from the huge factory antique mall. The complimentary chips and salsa are good, not the best I'd had and didn't seem freshly made, as they were not warm. The salsa is a bit spicy but not overwhelming. The beef chimichanga was ordered fried, filled generously with mildly seasoned ground beef, with a queso fresco ladled over top and served with rice, refried beans, sour cream, guacamole lettuce and tomato. All ingredients were fresh tasting with a mild but full flavored profile and the portions are quite generous. Two perfectly fried, non greasy chimichangas were on the plate and a little too much for me to finish, but difficult to push away. My husband ordered the chicken quesadilla, one is a large half which he deemed perfect. The chicken was mildly seasoned and had a good slightly crunchy texture. The plate had lettuce, tomato, guacamole and sour cream garnishments. He mentioned it being one of the better quesadillas he's had. Our total was approximately $25 for our meals and iced teas, not bad for the quality and quantity of food. I definitely recommend giving them...
Read moreIf a customer doesn’t like their food or drinks, it’s their problem . That’s what the owner told me before calling the police when I told him I wasn’t paying for a poorly made margarita that I took three sips of. I told my waitress numerous times that the margarita wasn’t made well, and they didn’t do anything to fix it except add another shot of tequila I was expected to pay for.. they told me they couldn’t give alcohol out for free. But I didn’t drink the margarita…?? when the owner realized the police weren’t going to do anything, he comped the margarita and then told the deputy (like I wasn’t standing there), that he didn’t want me back there again “because once you give someone something for free, they keep coming back.” Ha! That’s fine. The drinks are bad, the food is mediocre, and the service is poor. Not even mad they called the police… I’m really just upset that instead of trying to make it better, they made such a big deal and talked shit about me in front of other customers.. like I wasn’t standing...
