First visit here for Friday lunch. The restaurant is clean. Staff attentive. *You view the menu and order at the counter when you arrive. You also receive your drinks and pay prior to seating. They do bring your food to the table but you go back up to the counter for drink refills. Account for the minimal amount of service you receive for the tip that you pay in advance of your meal.
We sat inside based on the elevated temperature. Seating is available outside near the runway. I would rather keep that wall between us and an active runway. Only a few small planes in/out while we were there.
The food was ok. The onion rings were real rings. The wife's Cuban was good. Nothing outstanding and very pricey. We tried it but won't be back.
*Note this review was completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do yourself a favor, trust me, flavorful, or kids emojis etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No disrespect to the employees, but no one cares about the waiter/waitress/clerk names, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. We don't care about your allergies, vibes, how "chill" you feel, or the need for gluten free food.
**If you see a Google review posted with just stars & no text, report it via the 3 dot selection adjacent to the review. If the text in the review doesn't describe the food/service report it. This cleans up Google reviews and removes the slugs just trying to get reviewer points by marking a star or "paid" reviewers.
Process: Select - Report review. Select- Not helpful at the bottom of the drop down menu. If the review doesn’t help people decide whether to utilize this business or go to this place...
Read moreRobins nest cafe is awesome, there is some pretty good choices of classic American food with some very creative names, the restraunt ambiance was like a 50s throwback which I thought was very impressive, there is also some pretty good runway views and also a patio, the patio is fantastic for those who love to planespot, the food that I ordered was very tasty and had some good flavors, there was also a pilot shop next door which was also worth looking at, sadly if you decide to go in on a Sunday they won't have their fryer and grill open, but they will have some snacks and other basics available as well, its absolutely a cafe I would...
Read moreI have two small kids that are pretty active and this is the only place I actually take them in to eat. There is a super cool patio space right on the runway where you can sit and eat, with a good amount of room for kids to run around a little. We go during the weekdays and almost always have the patio to ourselves or share it with other families with toddlers. Robin's Nest is super welcoming, super cool, and the food is great which is a total bonus! I'd come just for the 50s vibes and...
