Roseina's — Restaurant in Virginia

I’ve been going to this place since the 90s. However, on a trip back home to visit family, I’m really saddened at the downturn in what was once consistent quality with the food.

The mushroom soup was always a favorite of mine. It’s now more of a mushroom purée, and while it’s still got that same flavor profile, it lacks the desired texture that I would literally crave and could never get enough of.

I used to really love the burgers. However, mine was cooked well done when I’m used to consistent medium rare, and was terribly dry. I used condiments from my own fridge to eat the rest. There was also a weird, almost lingering peanut oil taste (?) that I couldn’t place but I didn’t recognize. Either way, it didn’t mesh well and soon overwhelmed the rest of the burger.

While I’m overjoyed that they kept the original options on the menu that are tried and true, I will forever be mourning the old restaurant based on...

I ate here during my shift one night in December, And I was already having a bad night. This place was like an oasis in a wasteland of capitalism that Grinds us to the bone week after week in order to survive.

I got a delicious Chicken wrap for a great price made with love and it truly revitalized me for my evening. I was even able to sit on a comfortable couch while I waited for my order to be complete, which did not take more than two minutes.

I only spent $13 altogether for my sandwich and my side that came with a pickle as well. It is truly insane to spend the same amount of money at a fast food place where the food is designed to be cheap and robotic

I've only been here twice. The first time was better, I got a Cajun grilled Chicken wrap, wasn't spicy at all, not much flavor period TBH. Still got the job done. The second time I tried the Jerk Chicken wrap, no bueno. I don't know what their house made jerk sauce was supposed to taste like because I didn't taste anything. It was super liquidity and runny and drippy, just wet and didn't taste like anything. I will say it's better for you than fast food, I mostly tasted the ton of lettuce in the wrap folds and tomato more than anything else. I would say give it a try if you want.
