Man. I go back & forth posting this publicly (versus sending email or something) because santinis has been a sort of national past time for west-fairfaxions since they emerged... But now, it's embarrassing and regrettable. And I say that with a heavy heart!!! Ordered the new Yorker - pics below. Unreal. Not just on the value I'm just surprised that santeens hasn't kept the big ol dawg of a sangweech that you used to get, even n if that means boosting the price. I figured santeens would be a boost price not comp quality type group. Wouldn't write this review if it was one instance - but when I ordered the New Yorker last night I was reminded that this happened again just a few months ago and I must have forgot having written it off as a individual instance. Anyways, I ended up dressing my sandwich with meats from home just to get my protein count up, not even for flavor or anything. Not mad, not thrown off, just disappointed that some of the values are being cast aside - both at the sandwich shop and for the economic reasons that I'm sure at play here. If ordering again, get the wings I guess. Or eat in house maybe that would be better. Idk. Hate talking ish on santinis man. Effectively 1 slice of corned beef

I have enjoyed Santini's many times in the past. My husband also loves their sandwiches and subs. However today I have learned that getting their item 'to-go' vs eating there can give you a totally difference experience. Today I ordered my favorite Chicken Parm sub to-go. As I was waiting for my order I saw many happy customers enjoying their fresh subs and sandwiches inside the restaurant. So excited I drove home and finally took a bite into the sandwich. Behold...the chicken and the crust were so dried up that it was hard to chew... very hard to chew!! It was definitely not fresh... One side of the sub barely had anything!! I got a large so that I can share the half with my son later but he is going to be disappointed too. Why must you treat your to-go customers this way? I'm quite disappointed.. Beware, your experience can be totally disappointing if you get it to-go...

Love that you can order takeaway after walking your dogs and have a drink on the patio while you wait. The potato salad is some of the best ever. The new Yorker sandwich (pastrami and corned beef Reuben type sandwich) with extra meat was fabulous. The marinated mozzarella salad was like a tomato and cucumber salad with mozzarella added and it was tangy and fresh. Perfect for this warm weather. I also got a large cannoli. I wish it had had more candied orange in it but overall very satisfying and light.

Santini's New York Style Deli on Oakton has become my ultimate go-to spot, and I'm thrilled to share my experience here. I've explored their menu extensively, but I consistently find myself gravitating towards their steak and cheese, steak calzone, and occasionally their bogey sandwich. While their pizza is decent, I've noticed it can sometimes become a bit soggy due to excess moisture, which is a minor drawback. Additionally, their burger didn't quite hit the mark for me personally. However, where Santini's truly shines is in their sub selections and calzones. Each bite bursts with flavor, and the quality is consistently impressive. I also have to commend their dessert menu, which offers a delightful array of high-quality treats to satisfy any sweet tooth. Overall, Santini's New York Style Deli delivers on its promise of authentic flavors and generous portions, making it a standout in the area. I highly recommend trying their subs and calzones for a truly satisfying...
