I ordered a large chai tea latte they asked me if I wanted whole milk, I inquired about the other options and chose oat milk. I asked if I was sweet because I didn't want it to be sweet. They said no. It's November and raining outside but they still made it iced even while not asking me how I wanted it. She seemed annoyed that it was made incorrectly, instead of making me a new drink she poured the iced chai latte that was already made into the steamer as it was, Probably diluted with ice and premixed with the oat milk. I was charged $5.60 while the 16 oz was $4.25. I anticipated therefore that I would be getting the 20oz. She poured my latte into thw 16oz and I was confused. I asked why I was charged more than a dollar over the 16oz price but was receiving the smaller size. She now informed me that there was an up charge for a choice of alternative milk, which she originally offered me without volunteering this information. I was now annoyed. But on top of that, I had asked originally how sweet it was because I didn't like it sweet. They said it came unsweetened including the oat milk. I said that perfect, can you just put in a little honey. It is almost too sweet to even drink. Not impress probably...
Read moreGood coffee, average food, avoid if you have small children.
Decided to have breakfast here after church with the family. Our 20 month old was a bit loud, but at that age it’s hard to do much but so much at time. We had intentionally seated ourselves on the end of the cafe with less tables. After getting our food, staff person came over and told us that there had been some complaints and asked if we could try and quiet the child, which we had already been trying to do to the best of our abilities. Basically ruined our entire experience. We have three kids range 12 to 20 months and first time to have ever had such an experience. Sorry- when kids are under 2 years old it’s not like you can shush them right up. And not getting up and going outside after we just spent money to eat.
Otherwise, food was average, would have expected a little more for the price. Coffee was very good.
Wouldn’t go back, as not friendly to families with young kids. My suggestion to management is REMOVE YOUR HIGH CHAIRS. If we hadn’t seen any we would have left...
Read moreFirst visit after having lived nearby since they opened. Five in our group for lunch. Sat down in an empty restaurant (two other tables had guests) and nobody ever greeted us. Three employees standing behind the bar… and we get no acknowledgement. Finally, one friend went up to ask for a menu and they told him he could select from this sign there and order at the counter. No waitstaff. I went to the counter and picked up the two acrylic menu signs and brought them back to our table (we’re five old men and two are on canes). Then we ordered. Four Boykin sandwiches and a panini. All drinks were canned and served with a plastic cup. Sandwiches were brought to our table. Each of us paid over $20. Boykin sandwiches didn’t have enough meat to cover the bread; they were tasteless. All four who’d ordered them were unhappy (they came with a small cup of Ripples potato chips). The panini guy wouldn’t comment on his sandwich. SO… priced too high for what we got, but the lack of service and greetings was...
