Too Long Didn’t Read: What this place is NOT - a spot to get decent pizza at a cheap price. What this place is - Delicious.  The BEST chewy (but not dry!) crust I’ve had on a pizza in DC. High quality ingredients - especially the house made spicy sausage and soppresatta on the Piccante Pizza. $14-$17 to feed 1 person with some leftovers or 2 people (potentially leaving something to be desired). Full Review: The Experience - Ordered for pickup - took 20 minutes on the dot - I was pleasantly greeted as soon as I entered and I told them the name/order number and was out in 60-seconds.  The restaurant is clean and upscale (for a pizzeria) with an open second floor that over looks the first floor and seems like a nice place to have a casual sit down lunch/dinner. What I got and how much - I ordered the Piccante Pizza $17, Brussel sprouts $12, and the tax was $2 with an optional tip. $31+ The Size of the Pizza - Stellina only offers a 10” pizza that most restaurants would categorize as “small”, ranging in price from $14-$17.  As you can see from the pictures, it’s not quite a personal pizza (6-8”) but it is smaller than what you might expect at that price.  I had read reviews that said it was small, so I was prepared, but it would be nice to see the menu state the size of the pizza and if an option was made in the future to order a larger size for gatherings. The Taste - Delicious. Definitely the best Pizza I’ve had in the Fairlington/Shirlington area and a strong contender for all of DC.  The BEST chewy (but not dry!) crust I’ve experienced on a pizza in DC. High quality ingredients - especially the house made spicy sausage and soppresatta. Other reviews have complained about the lack of cheese covering the pizza.  As an artisan pizzeria, I was not surprise by the lack of cheese.   The small balls of mozzarella cheese were a nice compliment to the overall taste.  They did not overpower the spiciness of the meats and were a refreshing balance to offset the heat. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic - slightly sweet from the honey and well fried to be crispy on the outside and tender within.  At $12 though, I would opt for a second Pizza (for an extra $2-$5) and make the sides myself at that price in the future. Overall Value - You do get what you pay for. At $31+ for Pizza and Brussel sprouts the portion size originally concerned me as I ordered this as a meal for two people.  However, I/we found it to be the perfect amount of food to be satisfied and not stuffed.  While it would be nice to see the size of the pizza listed on the menu, the cost ($14-$17) is by no means expensive for the Main Street location, as you have places like Dudley’s Sports Bar offering 12” small pizzas for $12-$14 right across the street (nothing against Dudley’s :).  I would strongly recommend this Pizzeria to anyone and I’ll leave another detailed review when I try out their paninis, pasta, or salads. Thanks for reading and throw me a thumbs up if this was helpful.

While usually pretty good food, this last trip it seemed the food was somewhat lacking in flavor. The staff are always very nice, which helped, but there was definitely something off. The setting is very casual, and more a place to go with friends or coworkers, but not a special date. Parking is convenient with a free parking garage across the street. This last trip I had the speck and Gorgonzola pizza (which I didn’t care for but it’s my fault; I don’t like for Gorgonzola cheese), and my wife had the pepperoni. This was definitely short of flavor. Overall a positive experience. For starters, it’s in a great location as it sits across from a free parking garage. That’s a plus. The service is always good, with friendly and helpful staff. The setting is casual comfortable, so not a special date place but definitely somewhere to go with family and friends. And the food is always very good. This last trip I had the lasagna while my wife went with the margarita pizza. Both were delicious. Consistently good food. My wife and I have gone here several times now and always enjoy the experience. The food, service, and atmosphere is always very good. The selection is wide enough with pizza and pasta everyone should be able to find something they’ll enjoy. And there are other selections as well to try. I’m going to continue exploring the different options so I can expand my experience here. Highly recommend giving this place a try. Consistently good food and service. I love that it’s a block from my work, but for others, your peace of mind is knowing there’s a free parking garage across the street so there’s no reason not to try. It’s a casual setting for friends, coworkers, or someone special because you’re guaranteed a great dish. This time I had the cacio e Pepe. The portion size was perfect, leaving me satisfied and not feeling stuffed. Their food is so good! Not only is there free parking in a garage across the street, but service and food are great. This was the 2nd time to try this place and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very casual so you can relax and enjoy great food. I opted to try a different pizza (carrettiera, which was very good) while my wife went for the lasagna (delicious). I’m very critical of lasagna but found theirs full of flavor and cooked perfectly. One of the best pizzas I’ve tried in the area! There’s a parking garage right across the street so there’s no reason to not give it a try. Service here (my first time) was excellent. We immediately seated and the waiter made sure to get us comfortable and answer any questions. For the setting, it’s very casual, so a great place for lunch with friends, coworkers, or your family. And the pizzas were delicious. I tried the affumicata, and my wife had the peppertoni.

Neapolitan pizza on this one. I liked it, my buddy was meh. It's super droopy pizza and the bottom crust got pretty soggy so it's a fold or fork option for me. The flavor was solid, good cheese and I liked the small pepperoni. The menu pepperoni pizza (oddly) comes with salami not pepperoni, which I am not a fan of on my pizza, so swapped for actual pepperoni. My buddy had 1/2 cheese and 1/2 sausage for our normal comparison criteria, good flavor but he's just not a fan of the floppy crust. The main crust was good, flaky and not doughy and not too heavy. Pizzas are 12 inch personal size. I have hit two small pizza places lately with no fountain drinks and neither had coke zero but rather diet coke, which is a preference thing for me and my buddy. They have the glass bottle sodas, and I do like the glass bottle, but they are the very small bottles, and only had the basic sodas and of course no refills on those so four sips and it's done. Small place, clean and bright with both low and high tops. Free garage parking and paid street parking available, Shirlington can be rough to drive and park in when busy. Service was good and pricing was average. I say definitely try this one.

I’m not sure if the food or service here was more excellent. My father and our friend were traveling from Georgia and were looking for a restaurant or bar to enjoy some good food and watch the 2025 inauguration at. After many disappointments and one establishment literally telling us “good luck” on finding a place that would broadcast the news with sound on, Stellina Pizzeria caught our eyes. My father called the restaurant to request if we could watch the news with audio and someone responded, “you want to come eat pizza with us?- we’ll put on anything you want to watch!” This was such a genuine and warm response and signaled that service was their priority. We excitedly entered and were greeted with a bright, clean atmosphere and an exceptionally friendly young woman who served us. I regret not knowing her name, but she carefully attended to our party and did so with ease while she was the only FOH staff present. She informed us that we were to expect some authentic Italian food and what we received exceeded our expectations. The house made potato chips were delicious and were accompanied with hot olive oil and house-made mayo. I took the chance at perhaps an unconventional order of a cheeseburger and it was more delicious than I’ve had at most typical burger joints. Our friend had eggplant parmesan. She was raised in the Northeastern U.S. with a plethora of quality Italian restaurants at her fingertips and she described her food as “fabulous.” My father ordered the picante pizza and thoroughly enjoyed the flavor. Though we couldn’t eat much more, I knew we’d have to find room for dessert as it would surely too be excellent. We ended up deciding on Nutella filled donuts and they were an incredible end to our meal. Several wine bottles decorated the bar and we inquired about our server’s favorites/recommendations. After some sampling, we took home Prosecco and sparkling red. We were welcomed like family and were fed leaving nothing desired. We didn’t want to leave! I would so highly recommend Stellina Pizzeria for...
