First time ordering food from here today and I don't think I will be going back. The restaurant appears dirty inside, the windows were filthy, as well as the plexiglass divider. I had to speak into a microphone in order to be heard through the plexiglass, and I could tell it had NOT been cleaned recently either. The pen/spoon thing that was there for customers to sign receipts was disgusting. Dirty floors and tables. Had I not been extremely hungry, I would have left.
The food was sub-par. All ingredients appeared to be pre-cooked (boiled) and were just tossed into the wok for about 30 seconds, long enough to add some sauce and heat it up. Egg rolls were bland and appeared baked. Its was just not good. I would compare to McDonald's....and I think McDonald's might even be better. I'm gonna eat it because I paid for it, but I won't be going back to this...
Read moreCustomer service was great and staff was friendly upon pick up.. they have a very efficient COVID Plexi barrier, and the inside was clean.. but the food was super American Chinese mediocre. I lived and traveled in Japan and Asian food is easy to disappoint, but I was surprised since the staff was Asian. The egg roll was good, but the fried rice was dry. I make better at home. Tried it because I was visiting family in the area who wanted take out. The prices were totally reasonable though! For a large chicken fried rice, and small shrimp/veggie with a side of small rice, two egg rolls, and a soup.. it was only $28. You literally cannot get that anywhere else but McDonalds (🤢) right now. So for the price, the quality met. They've been around for a while, so I don't mean to do the business harm with my review, but to let people know...
Read moreI have been a customer for 20 years and I'm afraid the days of Triple 8 being my go-to for Chinese food has come to an end. After management (ownership?) changed the quality of some things have gone down. In recent months the portions gave declined. And I get it, this is our economic world now. But personally I'd rather spend a little more to get the same quality and portions than before. At least that is more transparent than coming home and finding that two-thirds of your combo meal is rice, your egg roll is more wrapper than filling and your quart of wonton soup now has 6 wontons vs the 10 you used to get. It's so sad and I hope these reviews are read and taken to heart.
At least my cookie still had a fortune in it. It read, "Sometimes good things must come...
