Buzz's Drive In — Restaurant in Visalia

First time ordering food from this place and definitely will be the last. Called in an order, showed up, got my order, left a tip because I was happy to see hot fries. Customer service was fine at the time of pick up. However, when I had ordered I asked for no tartar sauce on my fish sandwich. I had another person sitting next to me while I made the order who heard me state this. The order was never repeated, but I trusted that the girl had heard me. When I got home I opened the sandwich and there was tartar. The fries were good so I decided to just eat the fries and call to have it remade a different time. The same girl who took my order answered the phone and when I let her know that there was tartar sauce on the sandwich, but I could not come back quickly she started arguing telling me that I did not ask for no tartar sauce. I let her know that I am absolutely positive that I ordered it with no tartar sauce. She continued to give attitude, but went to check with I’m guessing whoever would be her boss. When she got back on the phone I let her know that the response she had was extremely unprofessional (I’ve managed many restaurants/fast food locations and would have written someone up for that at minimum) and as a result to her response I would be glad to let them keep the money and tip, along with the food replacement because I would not come back. It’s unfortunate that she acted that way because the fries were good and everything was fine up until there was a small issue. Very immature, impulsive behavior. Been going to buzzs since I was a little kid, their food is sub par (mostly frozen food you could literally make at home, overpriced) they leave the chili out in a container for days at a time, no gloves, no hair nets, me and my friends occasionally use the restroom and today we sat in their little canopy thing for 5 mins to charge a phone, we also go there every once and a while to buy food and drinks, in which we'll sit there a while in the designated seating that's meant to eat at, and we eat the food that we bought there. A worker stops us when we're walking by later and says "I don't wanna be that guy I'm just doing my job but the boss has been getting upset about you guys coming and using the bathroom and sitting here for hours etc etc" (which never happened in the past we've max sat there an hr to eat our food yk that we ordered.) And he also adds "This is private property and I don't want us to have to call the police." I love supporting local businesses but since the change of ownership a few years ago its gone downhill, I'd rather go to burger king. I won't be...

This is one place where locals actually go to eat. I've never had a bad or cold meal, no rude server, no lack of hygiene at the place. The very worst thing I'd expect would be a little casual dismissal of travelers or strangers. Again, Goshen is 1 mile across. If you live here and got bad service or left a bad review, id wonder how you treated the employees to begin with or how bad a resident you are towards the businesses. If you aren't local, your review won't matter to us.

Freeway tourists be damned- For our 3000 or so locals, it's just off Betty Drive, maybe far enough to keep a lot of freeway weirdos away. If a snide eye or bad service offends all the route 99 tourists, i support that. It keeps the food prices low and offers us a nice little go-to escape and potential central community meeting spot while running the risks from the endless unknown...
