I have been coming here for a while now and have always enjoyed the food. The food trucks are not the problem it is the bar itself and the horrendous customer service. I am a nurse at a local hospital and went out for some beers with my coworkers to celebrate a birthday. After serving all of my coworkers (my same age) without identification, the bartender refused to serve me thinking that my out of state ID was fake. He asked for my address on the ID, I recited it correctly, and he still believed that my ID was faulty. I understand we live in a college town and businesses have to be cautious, but I have never had this problem anywhere else. I also know that you can refuse service to anyone for any reason. The issue was not with the refusal but with the demeaning tone of the bartender. I asked if he would at least scan it and he refused. I live fairly close and offered to bring my passport or birth certificate which he also refused. Then asked if the police could come clear things up as fraudulent IDs are a serious crime. He refused all offers, scoffed at me, and continued to talk about me with a coworker once I walked away. I kept the conversation respectful, never raised my voice, and simply asked for an explanation which I never received. Being treated with such blatant disrespect in front of my coworkers was embarrassing and mortifying to say the least. This was incredibly disheartening as a frequent customer with no issues in the past. I know the owner is a valued community member with a handful of respectable, local businesses that I have enjoyed during my time in Waco. Unfortunately this will no longer be one of them. Worried that this will happen again, we all agreed to find a new spot where employees treat customers...

FiancĆ© and I live down the street and come here for food often. We came for drinks with coworkers this past weekend and the bartender refused to serve my fiancĆ© drinks and accused her of having a fake. We met at Baylor and she is originally from Oregon, but we have never had issues like this anywhere else in Waco. The bartender refused to scan the ID or take her valid passport. I imagine he had just never seen an Oregon ID before, but if that is the case I’m not sure I understand the refusal to scan it. This was also after he had served multiple of our coworkers drinks without even asking for ID, all of whom are our same age. When we tried to present alternative ID or suggest he hold on to the ID so we could have the police verify it , the bartender continuously cut her off and kept repeating in an incredibly demeaning tone, ā€œI’m not going to serve you.ā€ I understanding exercising caution as a bartender in a college town, but the refusal to verify or escalate to a supervisor genuinely baffles me. Not sure if turning away people in their mid 20s on Friday evenings is part of this place’s business plan, but if you fit that demographic and are looking for a place to get drinks after work, I’d...

Well, this seemed like a pretty cool place. Would have loved to stay longer, but unfortunately we were asked to leave a few min after arriving. šŸ™

Being from out of town, we were pleasantly surprised at how many local businesses in Waco have been super dog-friendly, even indoors. This being an ā€œoutdoor food parkā€ we didn’t even question whether it would allow our pups… well, we were wrong. After a few minutes of sitting outdoors with our well-behaved pups, I was shocked to have an employee come up to me and say that their business only allows service dogs. My husband had already gone to order at the food trucks, so I asked if we could stay until he got back. The guy said yes, and that he didn’t want us to leave, but the owners would get upset if we stayed. So we got our food and left.

I respect the company’s decision to not allow dogs, it’s just really surprising being that almost all other businesses we’ve visited in Waco have been superrrr dog-friendly. Even the Magnolia Market/Silos. 2 stars for the overall chill atmosphere and polite delivery of the bad news. Recommend Southern Roots, Balcones Distilling, or Brotherwell Brewing if you want a nice place that is...

I came here today for the first time with my little ones and their dad and we loved it! Everyone was super friendly and we got food from 3 different trucks and tried the new frozen margaritas which were so so good. We ate from Taquisa Waco (taco truck) and the birria tacos were amazing but omg, the beef steak tacos were the best tacos I ever had in my entire life. Probably the most authentic Mexican taco in the area!! One of my little ones got a cookie sundae from the cookie sundae food truck (zookies I believe) and he loved it and shared it with his dad lol. He also got some chicken & tater tots from oakleys which were super good. 10/10 reccomend and I’m definitely going to come back for more tacos and margaritas ASAP! Lol. It was hot but we sat under the covered patio that has a fan and there was a breeze so it wasn’t too bad.

Drove up to Waco on Saturday to visit my daughter, who is off at college. We decided to try the food trucks at Route 77 due to the variety of choices and the outside dining option. There are 5 food trucks currently, with seafood, burgers/sandwiches, bbq, comfort food, and Mexican. Between the three of us, we had a delicious lobster roll, fantastic monte cristo sandwich, and cajun mac-and-cheese. All were very good. The mac-and-cheese was my favorite. It had sausage, chicken, & shrimp & was very was creamy and well seasoned. The portion was huge—easily a pound and a half. Service was great, and the place was very well-kept and clean. Plenty of room to spread out and feel safe during the pandemic, too. 100% recommend!
