Very disappointing visit. Drove to it because it was late, they were still open, and I wanted REAL tacos. Maybe it was the time of night, I don't know. We ordered chicken tacos and when we got home, they literally FELL APART. The tortillas were soggy and split at the bottom so the contents plopped onto the foil they were wrapped in. I wish I had taken a photo of them after I picked them up so you could see what they became: a chicken and tortilla meal that looked like a meal a homeless person would dig out the dumpster. They were also rather flavorless. I won't be back.

this place was a staple when i was in college @ baylor and to this day a MUST stop everytime i’m passing through Waco. Best tacos highly recommend the pastor, barbacoa, and lengua. I alwaaays get the tacos, elotes, and melon drink! don’t forget the melon drink it’ll change the life - not like any agua fresca i’ve had before. lastly, the customer service is A1 they are always so sweet!

5/5 BEST TACOS IN TEXAS I've been coming here for about the past decade. The food has not changed at all. If it has, it has only gotten better. Lengua, Pastor, elote, torta, horchata, everything is good! Worth every dollar and everyone loves Jenny!

I’m born and and raised in Waco. Used to go to the daycare that was down the street so believe me when I say this place is something. I’ve had really great memories from here and the food was great. Today was not it. But let me tell you why…. If you’re not Hispanic they will try to get over on you. Eat your food there. Do not take it home. Check your receipts as well. The meat will be old and dry because they assume that you don’t know what type of meat you ordered or they think you are too drunk to tell the difference. Honestly there are a lot of tacos trucks that will do this. I would say to still try them out but be vigilant about every detail cause they will cover it up with hella onions. And if this is not true then their meat is just horrible and it is best to just eat it there just in case you need a refund...

I wasn’t very skeptical because I have heard great things and it definitely lives up to the hype!

I got birria tacos (3 for $12) came with 3 packed full birria tacos and a generous amount of consume, which I was very happy about! Only thing I would’ve changed is to make it a double tortilla and grill a bit longer to get more crisp and so it doesn’t fall apart, but a fork and knife fixed that issue. Regardless, the flavor was there! The cheese was loaded and crispy edges and the birria was so tender.

And the burritos are a fantastic deal ($11 I think) and as big as my calves! I

I wasn’t a fan of the queso, was bland and just no flavor, hoping they make a white queso someday! All in all, it was Very good. We Will be going back...

This is THE Waco spot for me. Through 4 years of attending Baylor, La Milpa got me and my peers through some tough times with some amazing food, an incredible selection, and excellent service. Extensive late night hours and totally reasonable prices made this the group go-to.

Would recommend nearly anything on the menu, particularly the tacos (lengua, barbacoa, al pastor) or the gorditas. Keep in mind most items are best eaten ASAP, especially the nachos, but it does heat up nicely otherwise. Also the elote is amazing, and comes with some good topping options.

Thank you Jennifer and the crew, I will most definitely come through anytime I'm in Waco.

Try this place out if you...
