I came here for dinner while I was on a camping trip nearby. I am in LOVE with this place! The staff are all so friendly and the owner, Tom, came over and introduced himself and chatted for a while. The space is an excellent use of an old Main Street building. It is comfortable and inviting while also being classy and somewhat whimsical. Okay, the food. I didn't get a pizza because it was just me and I couldn't eat a whole one myself. I was bummed about this because the pizza selections looked amazing. And woodfired, artisan pizza? Yes please! I did, however get the kale and white bean salad and it was perfect. The dressing was a perfect blend of rich and flavorful with just a hint of heat. The kale was massaged, but not soggy and the white beans were a perfect complement to the dressing. But let's talk about the rhubarb crisp! So, so delicious. It balances sweet and tart perfectly. It's topped with granola and there's just a hint of almond that rounds out the flavors so well. They have an innovative drink list and good local beers. I'll definitely be back. I have to say, traveling in small town America is sometimes challenging to find good vegetarian food. I was delighted to find a restaurant whose menu had so many things I could eat that it was hard to choose. Great work,...
Read moreWe have been @ Bar Bacetto a number of times and saw this pizza joint across the street and wanted to stop by for their pizzas. One of the choices is their Tonno e Cippola which is one of the great pizza toppings we first had in Naples, Italy and then Rome and then Geneva (seriouly!)... So, we stopped by and ordered their steak skewers and meatballs to start... The meatballs were just wonderful...super favorful and tender. Steak skewers were a bit too sweet for us. For the pizzas, we ordered the Al Tonno and the Sausage & Onion & Lil's... Well, the crust was just superb... perfectly charred and just enough sweetness and a tang of sourdough. Tonno hit the right note (we would prefer red onion vs. scallion). We had a few questions for Judy (the boss lady) regarding their dough prep and she asked the pizza chef to stop by and chatted with us... Talking about hospitality. The wait staff was super friendly... Can't wait to see them move to Walla Walla main street...as we travel there...
Read moreSo I guess the customer isn't always right at this new restaurant. I asked for a pizza that had no meat on it for them to add some salami to it .but they couldn't do that.but they could add meat to a different vegan pizza so I said ok then I'll take that pizza with salami on it. Apparently they couldn't do that either because when we got the pizza it didn't have any on it. Ordered a couple salads also it was taking awhile for them to do the pizzas because they had trouble with the oven. Asked if they could atleast bring the salads out so we could start on them didn't get them until after the pizzas were ate. They had me so mad I wish I'd never gone there. I spent seventy dollars on pizzas and salads and we left hungry. Wish I would of drove back to Dayton and went to My Dad's place pizza atleast I would of got pizza the way I wanted and gotten full. The pizzas we ate did taste good. Very...
