Very enjoyable & tasty dinners for the 5 of us to celebrate my ex'mother-in-laws 84th Birthday today. I'lll always ♥ this special woman. Still going stronger then lots of younger folks, lol. Birthday girl had the steak dinner & said it was excellent. 2 fish & chip dinners won smiles & the shrimp fettuccine was also pronounced wonderful. I had my usual special order Vegetarian sandwich. Thanks so much to our server & the cook🤗 P.S. Forgot to hit post, to send this on June 25th. Doing so now. But, things have changed. I've been in there still, of course, but pretty sure I'm done until a particular so called Waitress has left for good. She's very rude, no people skills & not just to myself. Why work in the public if you dispise other humans? Why ask to take a guests order, yet not listen & actually argue with that guest while they try to order. Know why the order was wrong? Because the waitress did not listen. I kid you not, this woman is unkind to the point of meaness. After sending my order back, which I got the sense she did not want to do, she simply botched to the cook. She also spoke loud enough across the room that I could gear her above the music. She wanted him to just remove the meat, not make me a new sandwich, which he did. I was livid inside. OMG, I wanted to tell her off So badly. She was very pointedly rude to a gentleman who came in asking to have 2 tables put together for he & his friends to enjoy a meal. It happens there. They always seem happy to do so. I was the only customer there, she told the man she could not do that. That they might get busy. She should quit or get off her lazy. The right thing to do would be to smile at the man. Say she would be happy to do so. He wanted the corner, where I was sitting. Big deal. How long does it take to eat a sandwich? Not that long. She only needed to smile, take his name, # of guests expected & time expected. Then, move the other table over when I left & set it up for the man's friends. I know this sounds like a rant, but frankly, she does not belong in that job. I'll never know when & if she is fired or quits because I do not plan to return, ever. There are waitresses there that I truly enjoy seeing & asking how they are doing. Honestly, I always try to understand that everyone has bad days, but that woman expressly enjoy spreading misery , so honestly, you just quickly lose the appetite you had when you walked in the door. This makes me sad. I hate writing about this occurring in a small town eatery. I really love Waitsburg, but this was a deal breaker. A...
Read moreCasual goodness- that is worth the drive. This is definitely one of my favorite places to go have a delicious bite to eat and not have to get all dressed up. You walk in and seat yourself, that's right...no one tells you where you have to sit. I just love that concept. Once seated you will be greeted by a waitress (my favorite is Vanessa) and you will get to order drinks. You can choose from many mixed drinks, soda, ice tea, or beer. The restaurant is an open layout with TV's showing sports programming. There is a bar, tables and chairs inside or outside depending on where you like to sit. There are lots of appatizers to choose from and they are all good choices. I have to say that my favorite is mozzarella sticks. I used to love the fried veggies, but they quite carrying them. Then for dinner, so many choices. My personal favorites are: *CB&G flat bread - chicken, mushroom, bacon drizzled in honey flat bread pizza oh and sprinkled with cheese. Love this stuff! *Fettuccine with grilled veggies - oh so delicious *Raspberry chipotle ribs- only available on Wednesdays - so messy and so good! Obviously, there are many other options, but these are my stand by favorites. Oh, and they also serve breakfast. It is pretty good as well. I am a fan of the French Toast sprinkled in powder sugar. This is a great place for the whole family, as they have a kid's menu too! This place has a family atmosphere with super friendly staff and yummy food. Give the Whiskey Canyon a try - well...
Read moreI NEVER judge on a first visit. Ton What I can say about all 3 visits is I'm completely disenchanted with this place and they need to make a complete change in management. Seriously EVERY TIME we have come in they have been so sorely understaffed it's amazing they are still open. The lack of other comparable venues after 9pm can be the only explanation they are still open. I spoke with the manager and she's aware of her inefficiencies with staffing but does nothing to correct it. If you can't keep staff, look to problems with management. It's a tried and true philosophy. Ur simply doing it, Wwaaayy wrong love. Way wrong. I've been a hostess, (no hostess), a waitress (not enough waitresses), and a restaurant ast/manager. Sweetheart, ur doing it wrong. And you are rude to customers who inform you as much. Whoever owns this thing needs to regroup and go back to the drawing board. She may be a good bartender but a manager, no. Sorry. NO. I'm entitled to my opinion as a consumer and I'm sorry if you disagree, but...
