For a place where this is their 2nd restaurant, one would think they would know how to make basic food... Very rude/ unprofessional daughter and wife. The food was really bad, which is a shame, because if it was palatable, we would be there weekly as we were when it was the Village Grille I can't imagine a family of 4 affording this place. Even if you only ordered four cheese bugers and 4 sodas; having to pay nearly a hundred dollars for a simple meal, that is not even good, would be out of many peoples price range ; it just doesn't make much sense. Their happy hour is nonexistent with no food discount, only $3 beer (aka $1. Off and $ 5 mixed drinks) We were so looking forward to their opening but combined with their lackluster food, way over priced food and exceptionally rude owner's (daughter and wife), we.will.never come.back. And in keeping with the rude ownership. I'm sure they will have some nasty things to say about this review too... Oh and when I said we won't post any reviews until you get your footing, the daughter said, " My father has over 5 million followers, so go ahead and post we don't care.." I believe most of the positive reviews are from friends and family. The only postive is Great service from hardworking staff, that's what the 2 stars are for. the response the owner gave to my review is not what happened; we knew the servers from the previous owners and were so happy to see them, my daughter has also been a server and we respect them immensely. Notice this owners response is the SAME response given to a previous poor 1 star review from Olx Geico. Instead of an appropriate response with the willingness to improve they chose to make up a storyline, copy and paste.. They can't even put in a real effort to improve or take some...
Read moreWe used to love the Village Grille! We sat at the bar on Monday 12/4 around 8:00. I ordered the Milanese salad with dressing on the side. The chicken was so over fried and dried out I could not eat it. I told the bartender and she just said oh and took my plate. I again mentioned that the chicken was dried out and completely inedible. She said the chicken is normally tossed in the dressing and since I ordered the dressing on the side, it was dry. I in turn said, umm no. It was dried out and inedible because it was over cooked. She said nothing. We wanted a second round of drinks, but she was too busy talking to the girl that brought our food to us to bother asking. She gave us the bill, and guess what!?!? We were charged for the Milanese that I could not eat. My husband ordered the Ruben. It was fair. We used to frequent the Village Grille. What has happened? I look forward to your response.
Update, it is 12/14 and I am still waiting for a response...
Read moreFirst the good- my husbands dinner was very good, he really enjoyed it. Everyone was friendly. I took my food home for my son (he’ll eat anything good, bad or ugly LOL) but I was told they would take it off by the manager as i was walking out so that’s a plus. Now the reason for 2 stars- the nachos only had cheese on half at best, my dinner was awful. The penne vodka was all garlic no other flavor. I wasn’t offered cheese and the server never asked if everything was ok even after seeing me not eat my food. It’s very very loud. I also noticed the male owner or manager only touched the tables of people he knew. I was in the business for 20 years. I may give them a second chance if I do I’ll update...
