Black Canyon Coffee — Restaurant in Wales

First time here. Stopped in with a friend on a Wednesday morning. It's part of a strip mall. Lots of room, with different seating configurations. The big windows on the front give lots of natural light.

There wasn't anyone else in the place when we arrived. Got a friendly greeting by the Barista. Ordered my usual London Fog, (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam. The Barista questioned by request for the Lavender. Insisted that London Fogs are made with Blackberry Syrup and not Lavender. Never heard that one before, so I gave it a try. No scones, so I got the Chocolate Chip Muffin.

The London Fog came in a nice mug. Not nearly enough foam for my liking. The Blackberry flavor was interesting, but a bit too much, and overwhelmed the tea. The muffin was nice and moist.

We were there for about 3 hours, and only 2 other people came during that time. It was easy to have a conversation. But seemed a bit odd...

Wandered into this gem today looking for a coffee and muffin. Was cheerefully greeted and made feel welcome immediately. I ordered a simple black coffee and blueberry muffin. The coffee was amazing and roasted to absolute perfection. The blueberry muffin was life altering though. The top/crown had just the right amount of crunch and sweetness. The blueberries had a perfect balance of sweet and tartness. It was so dense yet airy and flavorful. This thing should be on everyone's bucket list. It's that good! Here's the kicker though, they have other homemade pastries and sandwiches as well. I mean this place is a little piece of heaven! The only thing I'd would recommend is to order more than one so your not full of sorrow when it's gone. 10 out...

new owner doesn’t give the same warm welcome as the old one. came in with a group of friends, half of the friends bought items. we got 3 coffees, and a muffin. we then asked for 3 waters, and was treated very rudely for it. we didn’t feel welcome, was disappointed because the reason we came here is because one of the girls had lots of good memories at this cafe, but this was the first time going since it’s gotten a new owner. very sad. we were going to stay and hang out inside of the cafe but felt very unwelcomed, especially as the owner glared at us while we were sitting, so we ended up leaving. also, the muffin was dry and cold, for $5. have never had this type of costumer...
