I have been a Mexican fan for 45 years. I have eaten truest fare in Mexican Friends homes in Los Angeles, great Mexican originals on the Tijuana border and McCallen- Pharr Mexican border, in Texas. Enjoyed varieties all through the west & Midwest & mostly Americanized versions, in the Southeast. But more & more closer to true Mexican offerings seem to be popping up, due to the influx of more Spanish friends. And I must confess, when it comes to Mexican food I am not deeply picky. But I do know my Mexican food. And I'm a hot pepper Afficianado.... š¶ ( I have raised my own for many years.) Is still common even though I'm not incredibly picky , I have enough knowledge and experience to know what is excellent Mexican food. With restaurants you never know, the management can change tomorrow and it might not be the same experience. But they have some of the nicest Mexican chicken soup that you will find. Absolutely crammed full of shredded chicken breast. And cevichi is very hard to find even with the food being more prolific in the area. When my wife and I want an above average, nice Mexican dining experience with Really attentive service. We come here. And as of yet, it has not disappointed! - - If they stay on track with the way they are currently, neither will you be. It's not real expensive but it is real good! - - 7/31/22 update, my wife & I ate there today, still good. She had ACP with shrimp & steak added, I had my fave...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been living in Wallburg for about two years now and needless to say itās been an inconvenience traveling to Kernersville or Winston for a nice sit down restaurant. Donāt get me wrong I go to chopstix every so often but outside of that thereās nothing here. So when 3 Amigos opened up I was excited to finally have a new restaurant within walking distance, so that I wouldnāt have to travel far when I felt like eating out. Well it was a mistake. I ordered the āloadedā nachos tonight and felt like I was misled by the picture in the menu. The picture in the menu showed avocados, tomatoes, etc. as toppings on the nachos, so thatās what I assumed I was getting (or something similar). Iām sure you can imagine my surprise when I get home and open the to-go box and itās just chips and a little bit of ground beef sprinkled here or there.... I paid $7 for what exactly??? I will say that they give you a generous amount of warm queso on the side but thatās itās. Again Iām upset that I paid $7 for chips with light meat and no other toppings. I think that they either need to change the name and take away āloadedā or give people the option to have some toppings.
I was scoping the place out because I was hoping to have my birthday dinner there in a few weeks, but now...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have eaten at Amigos almost weekly for five years. The food is good for a reasonable priced lunch or dinner. Yesterday afternoon though, our experience will not allow me to eat there again. We walked in and were first in line to be seated. Two gentlemen walked in behind us and were waiting in line. A Manager or host/waiter (blue shirt)walked up to where the line started and the two gentlemen nodded and winked to the Manager. They then walked around us and seated themselves. Before I could tell the Manager we were first in line, he walked back to the kitchen without even recognizing us. It was clear that he prioritized either his friends or family over customers who had been waiting. Then when my wife mentioned to an employee what just happened, they did nothing to rectify the situation. We left and had a great lunch at Mi Pueblo. And I will not ever go back. While this may seem petty, I will not tolerate blatant, rude treatment ever. And this was as rude as it gets.
This occured last Sunday (2/25)...
